I'm 80% complete with the vac lines. That's not the problem, it's that I always get the, "Oh, while I'm here I might as well replace/remove/change/add/polish, _______________" (fill in the blank according to where in the motor i'm currently working on).

I finally ordered new injectors (1000cc ), so hopefully i will get them installed soon. Does anybody know if you can remove the turbo without unbolting the LIM? Cause i wanted to send it off for a BNR upgrade one of these days, and was wondering if i should take it off while i have the UIM off. But i would rather get the injectors installed and working before the new turbo, just incase something goes wrong

yea you have to take the turbo off to get the UIM off. you cant get to the bolts at the bottom of the manifold if the turbo is still on. did you get a new ECU to control those injectors? cause i though Rtek 2.0 could only support 4 720's?

Date: Feb. 3, a Saturday, I'm down.
Time: I suggest afternoon, say 2 or so, which is soon followed by 4, i.e. happy hour.
Place: Chucktown: How about Wild Wing Cafe across from Northwoods Mall in North Charleston? Good food and close to the highway for wherever afterwords.

thanks, the rtek has a 720x4 "preset" but can adjust up to +/-15% on top of that, so it should be enough to lean 1000's out, hopefully

but the problem with that is the Rtek will still think they are 720s and will run SUPER rich. even if you lean it out that 15%. as soon as those secondaries kick in your air/fuel will go to ****. i think its time for standalone!!!

ya it will take some tuning to get it right. I was planning on subtracting about 10-15%, but only above 0psi and above staging rpm. It already runs too lean at 10psi as it is now with 550/720's at +15% correction. I guess ill see how it works out, hopefully no standalone needed..

hey it just occured to me. do you still have stock voltage running to the fuel pump? it you do, try doing the voltage mod to it. just run a wire back to the pump straight off the battery, then hook up a relay. this will allow for 14v to get to the pump rather than the stock 4-5. it will increase the output by a good amount and your pressure. try that with your 720s. it will work. i still have stock 550s all around and im running pig rich at 9 psi. but, sometime next week i get to start tearing the car apart for the big single!! yipee!!

nice! mine has a walbro 255 in it, not sure about the wiring to it though. it is connected to a relay tucked behind that rear fender, i assume the po wiring that to +12V. i suppose i should check it with a meter.

by lean, i mean high 12's/low 13's, from some runs logged last night. This was in 40 deg weather, TB intake temps were down in the 70's. maybe my injectors need cleaning

"Voltage mod" huh, interesting.

Jamin, it just occurred to me that, that turbo 7 of yours is a big deal. And as far as the royal pain in the *** of tuning is / going to be, your in for it.

So dont half-*** anything / ghess on anything. Do it right and dont hold back on anything. Make it a beast, make it run right, make it last.

On another note, my passenger door is having problems. Besides the mirror thats hanging by one skrew in the housing, and the housing has become loose too.
The door wont shut unless you slam it. I sprayed wd-40 in the latch, and theres no door trim thats hanging in the way. But its still giving a problem.

Anyway later.

is your motor ported? it just seems odd that you have 720s and its running in those air/fuel numbers. maybe my wideband is on crack. but i guess my motor would have blown by now if it was wrong. the thing i find odd is the fact that we have basically the same setup right now, except i have a massive streetport and 550s(1680s are coming soon!)

then again this is a rotary! lol

what are your duty cycles?

stock ports, about 36% max duty cycle with the secondaries on. that is the actual duty cycle the injectors see, cause when the secondaries turn off, it doubles. Maybe my wb is off, it could be an exhaust leak i guess

ohhhhh, thats ur problem. you arent using the full capabilities of your injectors, now it all makes sense. im at about 80%. my A/f is about 11.5-11.8 accross the board. if you dont want a standalone, then get an SAFC to crank that fuel up.

alright guys i have a big problem. i got set of injectors today for my gxl that were suppossed to be 550 high impd. well they are 460 low impd. the problem is i need this car running for daily use, next week. does anyone in either the upstate, or columbia(ill be there on sunday) have 4 550cc high impd injectors that i can buy. also, it would be really GREAT if they were already cleaned and flow tested. please pm me ASAP

thanks

well these 1000cc's should fix the prob, i got them in the mail today from RC eng. the nozzles on them are huge! I think it could be way lean also cause of my timing, it is way too advanced in the map. but im not too keen on changing the values since i have no idea what im doing lol
