I am really getting good at detecting fuel leaks.

I found another fuel leak today, it looks like the hose connection on the lower fuel rail, water pump side.
I currently have worm gear clamps. I'm now considering changing clamp style.

This is maybe the 4th or 5th fuel leak I've had within a year.

 

I probably wont make it becouse more than likelly I will be up to my ears in moving hoppefully by march meat we can have a cook out at my new house if everything goes down like it should keeping my fingers crossed.

Fuel hoses are a little more than a year old.

My brother suggested use "t-clamps." Any other suggestions?

 

im hoping my FC will be able to make it i just cranked it up after what seemed like it was flooded. it now sounds very bad and the whole car shuters

 

does it rev very slow? it might be running on one rotor. check ur spark plugs.

 

yeah mine did that twice. drive it around for a while. cut it off. and let it sit for a bit. weird.

 

Bradenscread yea that did the trick. i tgohught something might be wrong im new to rotorys and only have a loose grasp on them. to put it simply i found out the basic way a rotary works by watching the little animation on Wikipedias Wankel Rotary discription....

 

just read the FAQs and randomly look at posts, you'll learn alot from other peoples blogs and questions. always think first then ask. but yeah, mines done that a couple times and scared the **** outta me. good luck and best of luck.

hey masin (or anybody), do you know anything about timing maps? Ive started looking at mine and found out the stock map is advanced to about 35 degrees at max load (~7+ psi usually) on the rtek. Seems way too advanced. Hopefully im reading that correctly, waht does your timing map look like on the 'squirt

 

ummmmmmmmmmmm, i hav eno clue about timing ****. the only thing i know/have heard is that tunning via timing is dangerous on a rotary. i would say i could check the megasquirt for you, but its down until the big turbo is done.(thats right, i finally got all the parts and i think we are gonna finish tearing it apart next weekend.)

 

could try and get a hold of reese, but ever sine the 20b shitted out, he's been kind of a recluse. good luck regardless.
