Nah, I'll find it. Give me an excuse to drive!!!
It's the 2nd intersection.

Damn. Sounds like she's a stealth bomber. As far as cruises are concerned, I think that's something that we will talk about this weekend. I think it might be more related to cruises to spots, like Frankie's Fun Park or grillin' or whatever. (Yes, I know there exists other places other than Frankie's Fun Park...) We are in a bit of a transitional phase right now as we are going to be moving our meeting spot to different locations to get a feel for the environment. We are most definitely a friendly, democratic, eccentric group of people. No membership fees; only occasional harassment about lack of attending and self-generated guilt associated with lack of attendance. We welcome pissed-ons too so long as you aren't arrogant and have some respect in regards to parking arrangements. (I think that's pretty much self-explanatory. I think there are exceptions to THAT rule, but you have to at LEAST have been rotary-powered. Ahem...Darth Vader...)

That being said, we look forward to seeing you at our next meet, wherever the Hell that's going to be. (edit: THIS weekend is at Sonic)

Yep, still cool. I gotta warn you though, my AC hasn't been working so great during the day, but I'm gonna try to get it fixed before Saturday. It's really pissing me off. We could always just get in the Prelude to cool off, it's got GREAT AC, haha.

We might be able to make that 11. I pulled up next to an RX-8 tonight on the way home and told him about the BBQ, he was pretty excited, which surprised the hell outta me cause most RX-8 owners I've come across so far didn't know what they were driving, much less be excited about a meet. I'm not sure if he'll make it though cause he might be busy Sunday, but he said he'd like to make it to some meets. He has a silver 06, GReddy exhaust, Mazdaspeed intake and carbon fiber strut bars. He's had all the stuff put on at Mazda so it won't void his warranty. His name is Ray, if he comes out, haha. I also told him about both forums, 7 and 8. Hopefully he can make it out, he's a cool cat.

I'm gonna stop by the brothers' house tomorrow or sometime too and see if they want to come up.

I'll be moving down there alone, so you guys will more than likely see me cruising around EVERYWHERE untill I have something better to do lol.

So are there alot of cruise-nights and cruises down there? Even though im currently in PA for school, Im origionally from ROchester, NY, and there was a cruise night somewhere for any night of the week (when the weather was nice) Im hoping Raleigh is much better...
Anyways, let me know what ya think, and Ill see you all at the end of July!!

^Man Law dictates..... ok, so it's not her mom. I'd hit it and I mean that in the best way possible. She's still hot and I still think she should come.

FWIW, mom ain't bad either.

Anyone going to VIR this weekend? Either Vintage or Auto-X, Need Help..

Hi All...

Anybody going, or know of anyone going, to VIR this weekend to either the Vintage Races, or the Auto-X on Sun.?

If so, I sure could use some help getting a set of four 15x7 inch wheels (only, no tires) picked up there and brought back to the Raleigh area.

So... if there's any volunteers or possible contacts I'd appreciate it... I think the person delivering them will possibly have them there even if we haven't made definite arrangements... so a last minute deal even via cell phone from the track would still have a chance of working out...

The fellow bringing them will be there helping one of the Vintage guys out on Sat. and then running the Auto-X Sun., presumably on the 'Patriot Course'...

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated...

TIA...

Steve

Steve, until we came up with the cookout I was going to be there Sunday. I'll post this on the MSCCNC site if you like since a lot of those guys are always up there and may be for this.

Greg...

Dang... wish you were going...

Have at it with MSCCNC...

It may not matter, as I've about decided to go up myself Sun. morning in my latest acquisition, one of the original 'Mythical' '92 Black & Tan models to shake it down... it's sweet, quietest, smoothest, wind noiseless, etc. one I've been in... and better yet I got for about 50 cents on the dollar... ;)

They (or the Historic, whichever) shared the South Course w/ the MAARC (Alfa guys, affiliates w/ Tri-Z / THSCC) a few weeks back... pretty neat... Bugattis, Lotuses (open and closed), Bird Cage Maseratis, 1930s-40s ? 'Indy' style racer, stuff w/ cable operated brakes, stuff I ain't got a clue what was... had two students so didn't get to goof around too much, so just got a glance at most of 'um...

Done, might work might not but better chance than here.
Thanks...

Maybe I'll bring it by the RRDI meeting if I can get some time... which Saturdays were they on again... same place?

I'm probably going to keep this one, especially if I can sell the '94 original unmolested 'R' package model that's a high demand item for Miata nuts... it's the special 'R'acer package Mazda talked ($$$) SSCA into letting them run as a showroom stock car, even though they made less then 2000 in '94 and maybe 1000 more from '95-'97... SS my beeg ol butt... got special springs, Bilstein shocks (special one off valving), special sway bars, tie rod end joints (for bump steer)... you could only get it as a stripper base model, with the only options being AC, floor mats, CD player or Premium Stereo, Hard Top, and... get this, a dealer installed luggage rack (WTF!)... I guess to tote yer tool box on, eh... absolutely no power equipment of any kind including steering....

Oughta get a K outta the car and a K for the HT that came with it... minimum... ;) we'll see...

I'd love to get it on the track before letting it go, but I'd have to roll bar it and I really need to move it as there's too many deals flying by daily that I can't do anything about 'cause there's a moratorium on my home equity 'floor plan'... :(

I hear that right hander off the back straight into bitch can be a tough one for a lot of people.

I took quite a few pics last year. Was pretty amazing what was out there.

Thanks...

Still the 2nd and 4th Saturday but we're looking at new locations. We'll be at the Sonic on Atlantic Ave tomorrow night.

SS my beeg ol butt...

Speaking of gettig on the track I should be at the Mazda Drivers one at VIR in Sept. You're doing that one right? If not I've got your list you're doing so we'll hook up somewhere along the way.
