OK, that's it! No more freaking meets at Char-SMELL-Grill. That sewer smell was so ******* bad tonight that it would make you sick. I don't care where we meet next but I'll be damned if I'm going back there, especially when it starts getting hotter than it was tonight with that smell.

On a side note... great meet.

Was a nice drive...almost no traffic on the way up. Great meet and yes the smell was overwhelming.

 

Man when we took that sweeper onto 40 I was so pissed when I ran up on everyone running 55 in the left lane!!! And we had just talked about that hah! I was running around 80 I guess and bam!

 

Perky and David - I have your parts in my car. Bobby came by and I took them off his hands. So... at some point (housewarming present?) you'll get 'em!

Well, looks like I'll be out of comission for about a month! NC DMV has revoked my plate for 30 days, I need to drop it off on Tues! Some damn insurance mixup 6 months ago lost it for me...tried to fight it but no go! Well, it gives me a chance to fit the body kit now and then I should be getting it painted in July!

Alright. I say we make the first meet in a June a blowout one. It's time for some grillin out.

The question is which lake are we gonna invade? Jordan, Falls, etc?

I have missed the past 3 meets in a row, I am starting to miss you guys.

Maybe if we play our cards right, and maybe chip in some gas $$ we can convince Chris to bring his boat out, for some fun on the water.

Just a thought, throw your ideas out there, and we will see what's what.

This was brought up before but I think one meet a month we need to do something, especially for summer time. I'm with Josh, and PRod, on the grill out for the first meet in June. If noone has objections to PRod's wheeler suggestion then I say we go with that. We can see if Doug will change the poll over on rrdi.org so we can vote where we want it if you guys would rather vote on the location.

The last grillout we did (way back in July of 04 for those who remember... Doug and Beth's first meet with the group ) we had signups for bringing stuff. That worked well so I say we do that again. Here is a starter list:

I was trying to post something from my PocketPC last night while I was at my friend's place. I was trying to say that we needed to make the next meet a grill out meet. I'm going to check out Lake Wheeler. I see that they have a Lake Wheeler park, so I'm guessing that there are some grills and stuff out there. I'm going to go around there probably today, if not then tomorrow.

 

I think I could be coerced into another autoX. I'll give the site a looksee later on.

Okay that sums up the race. Actually it was fun to watch live. Lots of hooplah before the race. And funning seeing the previous posts, Jessica Alba was there **drool** (I wondered what the two security guards standing ext to me were for, then I heard them announce Jessaca Alba was there - along with the other 3 other goobs from the Fantastic 4.) Funny the guards stayed with me when LeAnne Rymes**drool**drool** sang the National Anthem. It was like they read my stalking blog

I *gulp* watched the race.... In fact, I watched 4 races yesterday, I'm raced out. I was looking for you in the stands but didn't see you. I bet it was something to be at though. You didn't get any pis of JA did you haha!

 

The Rolex GT race will be on SPEED at 3!!! Let's go SpeedSource!!!

 

Oh nooeeesss! Not another race!!! I've still got 2 saved on DVR I haven't watched yet hah! One of them is Laguna Seca where those 2 porcsy cars went 1 and 2. Lime Rock should be a good race for the Speedsource team.
