Unless you NEVER speed, that may not be the best thing to do. If you get popped with another ticket within the defined period (2-3 years?) that means you'll have both charges to deal with at the same time. No way you'll beat them at that point. Your ticket is a pretty fast one.

i agree i always get a lawyer. last ticket i got was for 20 over it cost me 285, and i didn't have to step foot in the courtroom. my point was that on top of paying i would hate to have to show up too. like you mentioned this is a pretty big ticket, so that may be the difference.

Today's lesson for rookie mechanics- Don't get motor oil in your hair, it's hard to wash out.

Todays Lesson for rookie mechanics with oil in their hair: Use Dawn or dishwashing liquid soap. It breaks up oils very easily and makes you hair silky soft too.,

I was going to try that next. Hopefully the significant other didn't buy Joy instead of Dawn this time.

In other news, the FB finally has its new oil cooler installed. Obviously, I had some issues with the installation.

I couldn't agree with this more, haha. However, last time I checked, Josh looked like he was outta regs too. lol

I don't think I'm gonna make it tomorrow night after all. Maybe next meet. Please don't put me on the milk carton though. I WILL be back.

i cut the hippie fro, that sunday, after the GA run, It was obscene how long my hair had gotten. I am not sure what reg is, but i have about 3/4 on top and about ~1/4-1/2 on the sides. I am thinking that would still be considered too long by military standards. but It is time for a trim this weekend.

For us, I believe it's 1 inch on top and tapered on the sides, not touching the ears. Nic, care to check PFE for that? HAHA. I have my clippers, maybe I can make it up Sunday and hook you up with a fade or a high and tight, haha.

I'll bring mine too to show some SE support, if I get it back together in time. Maybe we can talk one of these slackers into buying a REAL car for a change.

I'll warn you though, the RRDI is made up of some broke *****. It doesn't matter if they pull down 6 figures, all the money is in the car and we have to save for two weeks just to pay for a double char-burger.

While you are at it trying to make the car look right...you might want to scrounge a hanger for the passenger side of that catback. Looks awful crooked to me.

I think I welded one up when I put an N-Tech on my car and found that I was missing it...

Hey folks,

We are holding a car-control clinic April 14th on the skidpad at VIR. Basically, we will have it to ourselves and it will be wet (hopefully from the sprinkler system and not because it is raining). Anyhow, this is an excellent opportunity to learn how to deal with under/oversteer conditions in a safe and controlled manner.

The skills you learn from this are just as useful and applicable to accident avoidance on the street as those you can pick up from a HPDE or autocross, in fact, some would argue they are more important and even better.

When you are not running on the skidpad, there is going to be some interesting vintage racing going on that day to keep you entertained (that is, if you get bored watching your friends spinning out).

Registration info can be found here:
http://www.msccnc.org/events/ccc/

One caveat - at present, we don't have loaner helmets. You either need to have your own or borrow one. Current Snell M/SA helmets are acceptable.

Don't be a slacker. Early birds may be eligible for a discount if we can get enough folks to fill the event up.

Questions? E-mail me via this link:

Is anyone interested in or looking for a set of stock springs ? I just put Racing Beat springs on my 90 vert (138k miles) and am looking to sell the stock springs. The mileage on my car has been gentle, but I'm not sure if or how much they may have sagged over time. I got 7/16" drop on the RB springs which are rated at 1/2 inch. Anyway, the springs are just taking up space. Someone make a reasonable offer and I'll bring them to the RRDI tonight. Thanks !

Oh sorry Carl, I forgot you posted that, haha. I think I'm gonna stick with what I got for now bro. Besides, my fronts are about the same as yours, they don't stick out even CLOSE to the fenders. But I did get my bushings today, so if I can get ahold of a compressor and some air tools I'm gonna start the work today. It's clunking like a ****. And I wanna see if it changes the way the wheels relate to the fenders too.

This sounds good. When I first heard about it I was thinking it would be dry, and I really can't afford to replace tires all the time, haha. But being wet, not too bad. I might be in for this.
