Did the engine not originally come with covers? Might as well let them say Corvette, it looks clean as hell man. And dammit, I'm very eager to get that engine from you ASAP and tear it down now that I had experience helping Victor with his. I have to get a loan soon, you don't know how bad I want to get this started man, haha.

Cool deal,
So the plan is to meet up at Cracker Barrel in Smithfield at 8:00. After breakfast caravaning down to Wilmington and I believe meeting up with the F-Troop (Fayettville peeps that is) somewhere inbetween.

So that diagram looks a lot like the illustration representing the "internet cloud". You send something to the internet on one side and it goes into the mysterious cloud and comes out somewhere on the other side, its just that nobody knows what happens in "the cloud". Same thing with that piston engine thingy, You send air and fuel into it - something happens inside the "LS1 engine" and power comes out the other end, but only if its a diesel engine. I think I remember you got to have spark also but I don't know why. Maybe the "spark" comes in from underneath the LS1 and we just don't see it in this diagram, but then that depends on which way the engine is installed I guess.

Get rid of the ricer covertte covers and the hinson add on the radiator cowling. I'd think as much grief as they caused you, you wouldn't want to advertise for them. Based on your experience with them and what I saw up at Fontana Dam a few years ago I haven't been at all impressed with their operation.

Found A Couple Of Unclaimed Rrdi T-shirts

I was going thru some stuff last night looking for some interior trim pieces I'd gotten from Mazdatrix last spring and also found 2 RRDI shirts that hadn't been picked up from the guys that ordered them.

One is a short sleeve shirt, size medium ($15)
the other is a long sleeve shirt, size 3X ($17)

Anyone interested in either shirt?

Well I know myself and at least one other guy (Tomas with a VR FD) will be at CB. I'll see if Victor is gonna make it.

I can throw in an extra set of lug nuts and a used oil filter at No Charge. The guy that ordered the Medium shirt did pay in advance for it but never came to a Drive-In to pick it up and he guy that ordered the 3X shirt didn't pay for it and didn't come to pick it up. I'll bring it tomorrow.

Good on the Hinson sticker.

I guess you could leave the Corvette covers on, that way when you take the car to a mechanic for work he'll know he might figure out he's not working on a rotary engine. I'll always miss seeing the rotary under that beautiful hood though.

Did you mean inverted or inverted the LS1, just looking at the first picture you posted Greg and I got confused until we turned our monitors over on their side.

I am probably getting an s5 tranny from Camocarl. That one that Alex has is for a T2. It's probably better than the one I have in my T2 right now but I don't plan on pulling that out any time soon.

Yeah we're probably going to helicoil it if we can't get any other alternative to work. Ray dropped off a present at Advance, so I have to swing by there and pick it up when I get my check tonight/tomorrow. I'm excited!

And I SOOOOO can't wait for charity laps at VIR... I just hope she's ready by then! The FB needs some rest and some SERIOUS TLC!

Awesome, I'll have the money. No lug nuts and oil filter needed. Well, no lug nuts anyway, it's about time to change the filter again, HAHA.

If anyone is looking for an excuse for a wknd drive in the country, I'll be tracking the FD with THSCC at The Rock. Its a straight shot down US 1, but there are some interesting B roads that criss cross. Its pretty cool to be inside such a richly storied facility.

We interrupt this thread to bring you the following anouncement.

Here's the deal folks, Just got back from the MSCCNC meeting. There's going to be 10 national level instructors at this event. You'll get at least 12 runs during the day. Lunch is paid for. For the price you can't afford to miss this.

http://www.msccnc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1036

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

Tured out to be a nice little trip to Wilmington. I felt the car show wasn't as good as last year, btu that's only because it was alot of the same cars as last year. But the company was well worth it though.
here's a link to the pictures I took:
