I will try to show up this Saturday around 6:30pm for about 30-45 minutes to show support of the club.
Got a dinner meeting to go at 8:00pm at Durham so I have to leave at 7:30 ish.

I got a 93 VR FD.

The guys at the supra forums are showing up at 5pm and this thing looks pretty big.

Read this page and the rest of the thread for more info. I'll be there with a few RX7s from Greensboro.

The Supra club is meeting on the Chargrill on Atlantic. We usually meet at the one on Strickland, about 5 minutes away. It sounds like they will be meeting a couple of hours before the 7 club meeting. Should give anyone who wants time to hit both.

The Atlantic Ave. Chargrill has better parking. If the current rotary club continues to grow we may have to look for a place with better parking.

I might try to swing through just to check it out on my way to the 7 meeting. What color is your FD, Garrett? I'll look out for you. Also, Brent, are you gonna hit the Supra meet? If you are, I'll look out for you too.

We going cruising after the meet?? I doubt i'll show up at the rx7 meet if you guys arent still there around 8 45...but i can show up for a cruise or something around 9.

Yea, i'll be at the supra meet at 5, but at 7 30 i gotta go to church for some program, then i'll be back. Be sure to reserve a section for the rx7s at the supra meet.

Oh, and you better have us penciled in on your schedule in August!
I am trying to figure out the schedule now. It looks as though both the weekends may be taken up by "family" events. But one may not happen.

Are you guys around during the week? I have a couple cousins that live close to raleigh. I am probably going to go over there around the17 or 18.( Unless the family doesn't meet the weekend of the 14., Then i am there for the Saturday night ritual )

Would anyone be willing to meet up for a weeknight gathering? Dinner at Taco Bell! I am really trying to get there for the 14 but Time is limited. Either way I will be over that direction some time during my trip. And I will definetly let you all know when I am around.

I am starting to crunch the #'s for the move and when we would be able to swing it. Soo it's looking good that you may have a couple more rex's in the state.

wow, if ya go away for a day, you gotta sit here for a while to read up! i dont think any of the durham 2nd gen crew will be attending. we're all a lil busy with work, family, whathave you. bert, i kinda hope that y'all dont ever see the car with us as the owners. lol, its sposed to be sold already but the title is killin us. tyler- maxduo came hoping to drive it home yesterday while me n steve hoped to run to the for sale section with money but, as our luck had it, the DMV cant do anyhting with the title until we do a little back tracking. hopefully when its got a new owner from asheville, he'll bring over some western NC owners for a meeting. the car is completely done except for a washer line fitting and spare tire pieces. otherwise its finally complete. jeez, im bout tempted to call in sick at work tomorow evening so i can come out to the meets! have fun guys, dont do anything stupid without the durham catz!

Damn sorry to hear the Durham Crew won't be able to make it. To hell with work RX7s are more important.

Big Island, I could open up my schedule on the 17-18, maybe a few other guys might be able to do the same.

Stephen, bring as many people as you want even those RX8 guys are welcome.

Brent, if it goes like usual, we will definitely be there 'til 9. I was planning on cruising up to Crapitol afterwards. Hopefully, some of the rest of the guys will go out too. I figured it would be cool to meet up with the supra guys after both meets are over, make the riceboys crap their pants, when they see a herd of supras and sevens pull up. I don't know any of the supra guys so if sounds like a good idea, maybe you can run it past them while you are at the meet.

Look forward to seeing everyone there.

We'll welcome the guys from Fayetteville and anyone else that wants to drive in, and yes, we do eat at the Char Grill, so come on in and y'all will enjoy the show.

I may drive by the Atlantic Ave CG just to see what is going on sound like a big group, I guess everyone can't drive a 7.

Our motto is drive in when you can and take care of the other important stuff when you must. Glad to hear you're gonna be in the Raleigh area and I'm sure we'll be able to get a few guys together whenever you can make it but I know most of the guys would like to meet you but if not in August then sometime after the move. Good Luck and hope everything works out for you soon.

JMunilla: It's montego blue. I'm leaving for the meet right now. However, I could only get one of the G-boro RX7s down there, his is pretty quick though.

Work sucks.... but how are we to pay for our toys? I'll be up there tonight at 6:30 or so. Spent the morning washing n waxing the honda so it's all nice an shiney! If we go out to capital later I've got my set of rims with me I'm trying to get rid of. Maybe some of those ricers will take em off my hands. Anybody need a set of 17x7 rims do they

i think there were 7 or 8 third gen, 2 or 3 second gens, and a few people whose car was either down, or were in the middle of searching for one.

July 10th Raleigh Rotary Drive-In

This is the only good photo I got of the meeting

We had a great turnout at last night's drive-in, inspite of the storm that blew in about 7:00 pm. We had a total of 8 FDs and 3 FCs and about 15 people in attendance.

The first timers out numbered the regulars last night and all drove some very nice cars, one white TII, a red, forgive me a VR FD, and a MB FD from the Raleigh-Cary area, and the guys from F'ville & G'boro came in in their FDs. They even brought a tag-a-long from eastern NC who decided to cruise thru the parking lot and leave. I didn't count that one in as a show.

We spent most of the time inside the Char Grill talking about the new cars and when the storm blew over went out and looked at 'em. Josh and Sam showed up right as the storm started, so his never drive in the rain FB now is a try not to drive it in the rain FD.

Looking forward to the July 24th Drive-In

Bert
