Not sure if I will be able to run the PDX. I plan on running the 90 Min ECR race Sunday morning. I would not be able to attend the drivers meeting for the PDX since it is held then.

Fletcher did black flag Durwood's son for noise, FWIU.

I remember during the Mitty I asked for "quiet Time" clarification, They (GRM) told me, and it was written on the touring lap instructions that quiet time referred to the use of a muffler on the car to be run during that time. If that is the same during PDX most should be OK. however my FD gets pretty freakin loud when on boost. So I guess I will get at least one lap in under greren before getting booted if they are that strict.

Hey Billy, do we need to send in payment for PDX prior or can we take care of it there? I see it says to send a check, just curious.

I didn't run a muffler on my FD and it wasn't a problem. Granted, it's all stock until cat-back.

The FD is pretty nuts on that track. Just be careful in 12 and 4. Don't lift in either of those.

Payment I'm pretty sure has to be done through DLB in advance.

I have asked where to send payments.

I have pointed out the noise to the guys we are working with. Seems like they understand the rotary noise. They do not see a problem with streetable systems.

So, Billy, do you have a muffler in your pocket that you're just gonna slap on the widebody? I wouldn't call it streetable

BTW, any resolution on your flooding, or are you enjoying the bridgey idle for a while.

I am thinking about strapping another muffler on the end of the borla. It should only hang out a foot or do behind the rear bumper

Have not messed with the flooding. It cranks each time so I hate to mess with it.

BTW, I found out where the needle sits when the car runs out of gas as you requested. Problem was I did not have a gas can in the car as part of the experiment. I just barely coasted it in the neighborhood

Why not Collin? If you say work that's not an acceptable excuse.

Billy, I am down for the heat shield and the radiator pillar. See you on the 8th.

Work has been busy. I missed the sign up for Zoom Fest, but I am planning to go. I doubt I will do track time. Putting the money in parts this month (see above) and there is something loose in the steering/suspension that needs to be fixed.

We can talk about camping at Jeffery's.

The 792P was still there the other week and Jim just sold the Car & Driver RX-2, but I think he still has RX-3s there.

Let me know. I think I PMed you my cell number before. And Dave has my number too. Hope we can get together, it has been a long time.

Ray, what is that thing in your postings?

You better get out of the lab and inhale some RX-7 fumes. I don't think you are getting enough CO2 these days.

That's a rotary engine Mike, can't you see the little rotor spinning around at the base? The hook-like thing is the differential, it converts the vertical rotary motion to horizontal motion that spins that whip like thing you see spinning around, which is a bacterial flagellum.

Pretty cool, huh?

You're crazy

Collin's gonna be near my house 'farm-watching', and if he comes to the 8th meeting I'll try to grab a ride from him. I should be able to drive myself to the August meet.

The mods are at it again, they've deleted my bacterial flagellum (not sperm cell Dave, sperm have an entirely different flagellar structure based on sliding tubulin filaments).

I guess I'll have to be a little more creative. Take that mods!
