Old guys with 12As club meeting

Thanks for providing the generic name Banzai.
Hope to install the Rewinds this weekend. Of course there are a few other parts I've collected up over the past couple of months that will be changed in the process. New pads and rotors for the front of the Blue One. I'll take some pics, but you will have to help me figure out how to post them.
The guy at the hardware store said to watch out for those generic brands, a lot of times they only get the job half done.
Mike, can't wait to see the Rewinds. Posting pics is easy (obviously, because I do it all the time).
You just take a picture, upload it to photobucket, then paste the address.
Here's a pic of my very slightly used Tokico Blue rear shocks purchased on ebay ($45 delivered) that just came in today:
And here's a really cool site about 1st gen performance upgrades, in case you haven't seen it already:

"Ray, do you still have that shirt I gave you?"
I will wear it Tuesday Zach, just for you.
Alex, I'm pretty sure I've got that switch, let me check and get back to you.

Good to hear Mike.
Ray, you know there are probably 10 guys in the OGTA with engine hoist. I would have brought mine up to you.
Banzai, you driving the 2 down for a meet? Crazy cool.
See everyone at the kilt on Tuesday. (where I come for the articles)

Definitely Banzai Day next Tuesday, free beer and women for those dudes.
Thanks for the offer on the hoist Billy!
I thought about borrowing a hoist, my neighbor has one too, but then I had a few beers and got to thinking about what I could do with those fence posts that are going into the new goat pasture. An hour later I was hoisting.
Now, an engine stand for the rebuild, that would be incredible......

I may or may not be in the 7 on Tuesday. I am off that day but I am not sure I will have the driveshaft, fender, bumper, and headlight ***'y all on the car by then...I may just roll without the fender and bumper and just throw in the headlight ***'y. HAHA
Pretty clever engine stand you've got there Mr. Vert, I just might give that a try.
An FC without a fender and bumper should look pretty cool Zach, good for 0.75 12A's at least.
See you guys tomorrow evening.

OGTA meet tomorrow night, Tilted Kilt, Mall of GA.
Sounds like we have few commits already and special visitor from SC. Who else is planning to come out? Keep in mind Ray is going to get there early and warm up the waitress for 3 or 4 hours. That alone should be worth the price of admission...

Hey you all, I was told about this group on FB and may try to make it out sometime, I just bought a 1st gen race car, it's not that great of a street car but maybe I can take it out for a meet.
Here are a couple of photos:
I'll be racing it in IT7 later this year and as that class dies I'll move to another class, may run the HSR Atlanta Historics with it too.

Wow, fantastic car Simon!
I just saw your post on the 1st gen section and was looking here to get you a link to suggest stopping by the monthly meeting tomorrow evening, but you beat me to it.
We'd would love to see you and the car, if you don't mind us drooling all over it.
Those look like the real deal Panasports! And about a dozen other things I'd like to check out up close.
Come on down!

Well, I got the fender, bumper, headlight ***'y, and driveshaft in today. I should be in the 7 tomorrow night. Kristy, or whomever else lives close to the Kilt, I need a place to chill from around 4 until the meet time so I can get ahead of the traffic.
Nice work Zach, I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. Although I am going to have to admit that I'll miss that gash in your left front fender, that was so cool.
If you change your mind Simon, we'd love to check out that new car of yours? I wonder if any of the OGTA's know anything about it's history?
I found my Tokico blue front shocks today, NOS from a forum member (Clyde, in Minnesota). $100 shipped for the pair (recall I already found the rears for $45, so the ones in the photos below are not included in the present deal, only the fronts):
Here's the Eibach springs, now all I need is a beefed up front anti-sway bar. Anybody got one sitting around they want to sell?

The car is originally from out west, it was built for Spec7 out there and spent most of its track time out in Arizona and what not, it did a lot of races at PIR. I'm not sure when it came here, I don't think it raced out here yet aside from a small attempt at the Chump Car race at Road Atlanta this past February in the "exceptions class" but they were having some carb issues. I bought it from a local guy here, not a RX-7 guy, but a pretty well known pro driver.
The car does look like it's fresh off the track all right and would definitely attract some attention out on the public streets, some of it unwanted for sure.
Still, if you can get that thing street legal, we'd love to see it in the Twisted Kilt parking lot.

Well it's stickerless now until I race it and put new numbers back on it, but yeah I'll get it out there to a meet soon!
Stogies!

I thought it was a zero-drag, cold air intake................or maybe the aftermath of a gun fight.
