Hey guys, the GSL-SE is now for sale. I'm going to put a little elbow grease into cleaning up the paint and greasing the window assemblies, plus find the reason she's blowing fuses on the ECU. I've got a spare ECU and harness, so no worries there. The car would include:
Hardware to reinstall AC
Hardware to reinstall Power Steering
Hardware to reinstall the front lower grille
Glass roof, steel roof, and leather bag
Spare harness, ECU, throttle body, intake mani, etc.
Full Racing Beat exhaust
Racing Beat springs and Tokico 5-ways on the car
Racing Beat swaybar included separately
No emissions (grandfathered in GA)
Riken mesh 15x7 wheels on stock 4x4.5 bolt pattern and good tires
Air/Fuel gauge installed in place of the clock, run by the stock O2 sensor
I have no idea how I'll sell it or what I'll ask, but I wanted offer it to you guys for opinions. The REPU will scratch my rotary itch, and the expected budget for starting a family shot up quite a bit just today, so she's ready for a new home. If y'all know anyone that's interested, feel free to share my phone number with them or they can shoot me a PM.

Bingo, Ray. I have couple of boxes of leftover Nikki parts to bring back.
Crit, what are you saying, "the expected budget for starting a family"? Are congratulations in order?

I hate to see you letting the SE go, mostly because I can't buy it. I also really hate to hear about your bad personal news.
Since it's my Spring Break, the only time I can escape school and ROTC, I had been planing to make the meet, but Ben is having truck issues and stuck at work. So I am going to try to help him fix it. I guess that's what the rotary Gods do to you if you try to drive a Datsun to a rotary meet. Maybe we will finish in time to make the meet, or the meet can come to us
If anyone would rather play with cars than sit and eat, they should come join the fun. We will be outside a parts store, O'Reilly, so you can stock up on supplies if you want. It's about 20 minutes away from Twisted Tavern, so you can swing by after getting some food and beers. Since there won't be beers at the parts store, and we all know drinking always makes working on cars more efficient

Another great OGTA meeting tonight, here's the 12A count:

1 Cool School = 1 12A (Joseph's Nikki Powered CB Series 1980 626)
2 SA's = 5 12A's (Robert's White and Gene's Blue very nicely done Webered and Hawley'd SA's)
6 FB's = 6 12A's (New Guy Leroy in Alex's black SE, Alex in Ben's red GSL, Greg the Elder, Carlton with his pretty red FB and prettier girl friend, Mike and his new Webers, Ray and his recently washed Silver One)
1 FC = 0.75 12A's (Kristy's PrePro)
5 FE's = 1.125 12A's (Tommy's Silver, Louis' Blue with his new cool wheels, Holly's Silver, Sting's Silver with black hood, David)
2 Boingers = 0 12A's (Crit in Dodge truck, soon to be REPU truck, Andy in the Mazda3)

Here's the SA's, well represented by Robert's white '78 and Gene's blue '80, with twin Weber's and Hawley's, of course:

Wow Ray, looks like your a nikki hold out. All those italian carbs, you think this was
a ferraris meet. Always like seeing Gene and Roberts cars. Nice cigar Robert.
I almost came down but held off. I want to be there when the golden REPU comes
out for the first time. Crit whens that thing ready to drive anyway?
As always a great OGTA turnout.

Donnie, sorry, didn't see your post until this morning. Hope you and Ben got the truck running. I know this is hard to believe, but I am even less help after a couple of beers. Hope to see you guys next month.
Like wise Leroy!
"2 SA's = 5 12A's (Robert's White and Gene's Blue very nicely done Webered and Hawley'd SA's)<---- Does not compute. Am I missing something?"
Kristy, it's the Webers. A nicely appointed SA with a Weber or some other exotic Italian fuel delivery system is now worth 2.5 12A's, according to Mike, Robert, Gene and Tim.
The Italian carbs are becoming very trendy these days, which is good news, means more Nikki's for my parts shelf (I'm down to my last 3).
Gene sorry about misidentifying the Weber. I had it right at first but the more I looked at it, the more it looked like a Hawley. Then I thought to myself "would Gene put a european carb in his car when you can get a perfectly good American one?"
So I figured it must have been a Hawley.
Mike let me correct your carb math. Nikki's, being Japanese 4 barrels, are worth 2 carb points each.
Also, Joseph's Nikki is worth 4 carb points because it's in an exotic.
So here's the corrected carb count:
Nikki
Joseph 4
Alex 2
Greg 2
Ray 2
Total 10
Weber
Jeremy 2
Robert 2
Gene 1
Carlton 1
Mike 2
Total 8
Nilkki's Rule
Nice try, I know from experience how difficult these accounting chores can be. Better leave the higher math to Kristy, Holly and me.

Jared, we do destination meets, but we have not ventured north of the Mason Dixon line. MA maybe a little far for us. But, we always make room for an other rotorhead, if you get down this way.
The Nikki is a beautiful and mysterious creature for sure Mike. I should have taken a few shots of Joseph's. I wonder if those CB's had the blue air intake? I'll bet they did.
Jared, I agree with Mike. If you come down here instead of all of us hoofing it up to Massachusetts it will save a lot of gas. Come on down!

I know where you can get all that stuff. All it will cost you is a 12 pack and you'll get to drink half of it.

Wow, I knew Nikki's were worth a lot of money, but not that much. Maybe I should sell one of my Nikki's and buy a Del Horto. I'd have enough spare change for a K&N filter.
I'll take you up on the beer, but you better keep the Nikki Mike, those things are only going to get more valuable.

Great news. We got Michelle's bone marrow biopsy report back and the leukemia is in remission. Now we just have to keep her healthy until we find a donor. I just had to share this.
