X Wheels?!?!? Are you joking, Ray? I've got four (Count 'em, FOUR) Original hubcaps. Better respect, man.

I have a request for the wiring gifted. I am swapping a electronic dizzy into the FC. I am wondering if one of the engineers could help me devise a wiring plan to make it all work. I am tired rite now but feel that it is a relatively easy circuit from what I remember doing with the FB.
PM me if willing to help out.
Thanks, Dave

Wow. Juno's gone funky. I love your avatar! What in the world does "J3WN0S3" stand for?
I didn't realize those were original hubcaps, that changes everything. Those caps must be older than your momma! More testimony to Mazda quality craftsmanship, any other car would have lost the caps a long time ago.
Thanks for posting the Fierro ad Zach, that's a good example of sex appeal back in the early '80's - when attractive women were cute and not too bright (at least they didn't act that way). Now they're all cuter AND smarter than us. (And the really pretty one's are driving FB's).
And yeah, it's highly unlikely that a real Fierro would have gotten out of that neighborhood without catching fire.
Andre the Mitty is the last weekend in April (April 28 - May 1). Kristy was supposed to be doing the organizing on this but she's gone slack on her responsibilities, so here's some links in the mean time:

About the vibration issues on the gold car, I know it sounds trite but start with your wheels and tires. It's amazing what a little tire wear or imbalance will do. You can do a poor man's spin out test on the rotors by taking the wheel off and spinning the rotor with a fixed pointer nearby (you can do the same test on the rear rotors, once you get the LSD installed, using the pumpkin lift method I described above). This is also a good opportunity to check to be sure the bearings are OK and set right. Also give the front wheels a good shake to check on all the steering linkage and ball joints. I had similar symptoms when my idler arm started to get lose.
Any chance of seeing that beauty at the Mitty?
Dave, here's a better idea: Swap the whole FC for an FB! The FB's come with the electronic dizzy already wired in.

Yep, retrofitting never hurt an FC.
I disagree about 1 FB being enough however. At one point I had four and the only thing I could think about was where the next one was going to come from.
You and Elizabeth gonna' be at Camp Tim this year?

Thanks to Crit for chatting with me and talking me thru my ignition questions. I cannot wait to get this thing running great. It is even getting a Del-Lorto 48 DHLA. Tim has offered to help me tune it in. I am trying to get it running and bring it to a meet near you soon.
Elizabeth and I are trying to get to the Mitty this year. I am almost for sure going regardless what she does.( As long as she says that's OK)

It's currently sitting in my garage on an old Corvette C5R tire.
I don't have a cherry picker so I dont know how I could get it into a truck. I haven't lifted one before. Can 2 people move a long block?

Hey Frank, when you get done helping Zach get that new engine installed why don't you follow him on down to the March OGTA meeting? March is traditionally the "coming out" meeting, weather is nice, more daylight and more cars.
And FC's count heavily toward the 12A count. With proper retrofits, they can even pick up some bonus points.
Dave I hope you can get Elizabeth to come down to the Mitty! We've been talking it up about getting the wifes to make a showing, a lot of skepticism among the OGTA's about this, but I think they'll come, especially if they have their own tent.

Ray, If you let the ladies put window treatments on anything they are super happy,.well, campers!
If time allows it for Elizabeth she will be down for the weekend. Now that we got her a new car to Daily drive, she is all about raceing the FC on track. Hoping to have it running soon. Just waiting on my Orto and rebuild kit to show up. Wiring up the ignition today in preperation of parts.

You're getting a Del Horto (Del 'Orto in the original Italian)? Nice, Tim will like that.
You're right, we need to think of something for the ladies to do. Let's do a poll:
The OGTA Ladies Auxiliary (yes, that would be OGTALA) would like to:
A. Decorate the tent.
B. Detail the cars.
C. Compare notes on how much we've spent over the last 6 months on RX-7's.
D. Talk about how wonderful we all are.
E. Talk about other not so flattering things we do.
F. Others?

I'm going with "C" as the primary activity for the OGTALA...
I don't think there is a chance I will talk Michelle in to coming to the Mitty. If one of you guys get a commit from you better halves let me know and I'll start working on Michelle.

My vote would also be "C"...with a twinge of "E" thrown around, quickly flowing back to "C"!
