And Tim, I must admit, those FB bumpers look pretty good on that SA.

Brett, as you get Older you will get over that insecurity complex. Yellow is a great color for a 1st gen.

'Course you don't want to be caught dead in a yellow FC.
Doesn't Dave have a yellow FC?

Actually it is the Gf's car. It is done in a special blend of the Mazda CYM color for the FD. I love the color. My only complaint and hers is that it draws Waaaaaay to much attention from the police. We get pulled over all the time in it. When they see who it is they just say, oops, have a good day.

It is going to get re-painted again soon in a much less flashy color.

So some spy photos got posted up, should have guessed. Hey guys it's the "New Guy" checking in. Greg thanks for the info and email today. I am having a blast so far. This car needs some work but I wanted a project. So far I have Seafoamed, oil change, new plugs. Stripped and rebuilt Nikki , mechanical seconds. Rats next gone. Tried to check / set timing but still have some reading to do there. All of the interior is out, seats, carpet, dash. Fighting some rust in the floors, nothing bad just the normal stuff kinda think of it as stage 1 weight reduction... gonna paint the interior all flat black with vinyle paint. Tests look pretty good.
Re-Speed full bushings on the way.
Shopping List-
*GSL rear end ?
*Carter Fuel pump/ reg / pressure gauge (I think this is what is wrong with the car) Barnette Racing about 4 blocks away.
*All new rod ends / ball joints Napa/Pepboys? Is there a better source.
*Ignition upgrade?

Not real sure how much money I am gonna throw at the 12A, I would love to go for some ride alongs in a few gas guzzlers to see what a tuned 12 willl do. Maybe I only think I want 250 -300 HP 13BT.

I will see if I can get some more pictures up as I get further along. Well thanks for the welcome and look forward to meeting you all soon.
Ted

Mrremote you nailed it, seamed like fair guys. I got a running (almost) SA with a clean title (new Ga. title is not salvage) and all the stress management I can handle. Work on it at least an hour every day.

Wow, sounds like it ended up in the right hands! I have a spare LSD I can let go for a good price for a project like that.

Driftwood, welcome to the OGTA. I'm a remote member but next time
I'm down that way I can show you what a maxxed out stock port 12a
feels like.

All that turbo nonsense will be a maintenance headache and cost $$$$.

If it is the first Tuesday of the month, then there is an OGTA meeting. We are almost as reliable as cared for 12A.

Tim's car is close to a maxed out 12A. He has one of those funky del horto carburators on there. The last good thing that was imported from Italy (no offense) was the leg lamp on A Christmas Story. Once he gets back from his 20 year experiment on the dark side and puts a Nikki back on there then he will have a maxed out 12A.

Can I get an amen brother Ray?

Amen Brother. Del Horto's are nice, Nikki's are better.

Thinking of using that to solve my broken power window problem.

Hey guys wanted to see if I could get a picture or two up. So we all love 7's and some speed. Anybody else like to "crawl"?
I got this Jeep about a year ago, this is my wife's DD. Man I love that woman.

Nice Jeep.

Here's my wife Cathy's Jeep Miss Scarlett.

I agree, it doesn't get any better than Jeep-driving wives that buy their Old Guys 12A's.

Tim, this is both funny and practical at the same time, thanks! I need to get me a beater.

Same Jeep 10 Months Later. Lifted, all new suspension arms (nice ones), winch, hand throttle, new sound system, CB, fire extinguisher and ready to go. All done in my drive way here in Grant Park, they all know I am crazy so it is perfect timing for the 7. Lockers and Gears one day (after I am "done" with the car).
Greg you may recognize Brad in the back, had the boys out for some wheeling down the roads from the house. Okay thanks for allowing me to test with some Jeep photos... here is an idea flat tow the 7 behind the Jeep for the best of both worlds when heading to the N.Ga. Mountains.

Cathy wants to do that to her Jeep. I keep finding excuses to put it off 'til next year.

When were you living in AZ Dave? I used to live there, even spent time in the Pima County Jail.

Which got me thinking about how much we owe those wives who put up with us.

So let's post some pics of the Ladies. I'll get it started.

My lady just put up with our burned steaks

But back to RX7's

Remember that WD-40 trick you showed me, Ray? I tried that with the FC tonight and it looks much better. Maybe one more round before the next meet...

Remember? We sprayed it all over the engine bay of my old FB and then hosed it off so all of the black shined. I did the FC and it looks years newer, but I need to go over the fan shroud, intake snorkel, air box, and intake tube...

Hey Ray, you may have the best LSD this side of Berkeley, but not for a small-bearing rear like Ted's seemingly-stock SA. They're tough to come by, but he needs a S2 LSD.
