Well the second restoration has begun on the FB! I have stripped nearly everything out of the enginebay again this afternoon. I have the firewall lines and master cylinders to remove later tonight. Then the engine/trans tomorrow when I dig the hoist out.
next step will be stripping the paint off and starting over again fresh!!. Lots of work ahead, but I have grown tired of looking at the charred remains Pics will be taken and shared when time permits.

Good to hear, hopefully it looks even better than it did the first time. When you are painting the firewall and go towards the transmission tunnel, do you stop a few inches in or do you keep spraying farther back? Just curious.

I am shooting to have the car completely repainted in the next month. It will take 2 hard weekends to do it, and I have limited time the next few weeks.
Also mapping out the "needed" wiring to run into the enginebay. The stock harness has sooo much melted tape on it that I just don't even want to mess with it anymore. I also need to go thru the carb and see what has been damaged. The fire got pretty much everything in the bay crispy. So all new SS oil cooler lines and all are in the plans as well. Heading to a FB gravesite for some parts later today I think.

I ended up getting rid of the Maxipad today. The FC I got needs a little bit of work here and there, but the pretty nice paint job and true-dual RB exhaust make it enjoyable. First things to work on? Swapping suspension, wheels, interior, and tail lights...
Pictures soon.

I had lunch with the professor on Friday. It must be time to turn over the fields for the winter in Jefferson. The Silver One had grass all in the grill and what looked like glods of turf under the car. I know Ray thinks his 1st gen can do anything, but I never thought he would use it as tractor.
I was helping my buddies in the Orange Jump Suits keep the interstate 85 neutral ground looking good out here in Jackson County.
Ever go three wide with two semis on a two lane interstate?
I still have to hose the grass out of the grill and fix the driver's side air scoop panels. And pick some mud and stuff out of the presilencer and under carriage. But all-in-all, not too much damage.
Also, I did successfully complete the pass, which was a nice outcome.
Pics Brett?

I finally uploaded pictures.
I had to swap batteries/ alternators since I'm assuming the alternator on there was overcharging. I got home, smelled something like sulfur, and popped the hood to see the battery puffed out and smoking... Not good Swapping those fixed that. I'm still figuring out why the secondaries won't come online, but I've found the common problems with that and it should be an easy fix. Other than those deals, it's in great shape. I'm definitely satisfied.

I do have to hand it to Ray, I would not like to try to pass a semi in the grass with the shoulder sloping away from the road. One good fire ant mound would be enough to make that a real mess. The good news is Ray and the silver one came out no worst for wear.
Ray, stay away from the semis out on 85. I think they are colluding against you.

Hey Guys! My names Carlton. Not sure if oyu remember me, but i came to one of the meets a while back with Ben Lippert and Juno, and Andrew Rocca. I was the kid who had the Red dodge stealth that blew up on the way to the meet. >___<
since then i bought a red gsl-se from Ben, and am looking forward to the September meet, since it will be my first one as a rotary driver. =)
I was wondering if anyone had a Left side tail light i could buy off them though.
thanks! =)
