Thank you thank you thank you. Ordered 5 10mm deep ones

Oil cooler lines are shipped. New exhaust bolts are on. Half the fuel lines are on. Transmission wires, bolts, and starter are all back on. And I ordered the MAF adapter for the cone filter I got.

Now I just need 2 4-pin relays, one for the E-fan and one for the fogs. And 4 lock-washers for the header. And to grind down one little nub on the S5 intake. And to install the SS brake lines and hawk pads. And new rear tires. And a plug for one of the PS lines. And a coupling for the cone filter to the MAF adapter.

I 'just' need this crap lol

I'm about to signup for the Mitty. I'm getting the 3 day pass, camping pass
and the Saturday touring laps.

I'm planning on arriving Friday afternoon, coming back Sunday. I hope I get
to see some of the OGTA during that weekend.

You know, I probably should've I might be getting the PS plug from them if I can't find one at Home Depot or if my uncle doesn't have one that fits.

Anywho, I got a little bit today. Only a PS plug, 1 more 4-pin relay for the fogs (radio shack only had 1), 2 LED's to hardwire in to read the stock error codes, and a set of rear tires to go. Then we'll be doing good.

Junk I got today and the other day:

The silver paint is for the intake, the black for the header and other little things that are dull, and the black krylon for 2 interior plastics that need to be re-painted black.

Man, I checkout for a couple of days, Billy goes fuel injection, Ray is auditioning for MTV, Colin puts Maxine on the block (maybe), Brett gets robbed. That will teach me to checkout.

You know you are first gen owner when you have used a ball point pen ink tube to fix your car.

I got to work Friday and discovered one of my oil metering lines is broken, puking oil on the engine and not putting oil where I need. So I start thinking, what might we have in an office building I could fix this with. Next, I start taking pens apart. I round up a collection of various size ink tubes and head out to the parking lot at lunch. That was Friday. My Rube Goldberg oil metering line splice is still working. I need to swap in the lines from the Gray Ghost, but atleast I can drive.

I know Ray is going to tell us how he used goat dung to repair his car and Tim is going to tell us how he used homemade beer to fix his, but I am right proud of the ink pen solution.

That's pretty handy, I would have never thought to use something like that. Good job!

Mike, thats thinking out of the box. You should be proud. Now get down to
Home Depot and grab some chain saw fuel line and make new oil lines
from that. I've been using it as a replacement for the rubber tubes from the
hard lines to the carb for the last year. No issues and works great. No reason
you can't use it for the entire run from the MOP up to the carb.

Fortunately we don't have to resort to such lowly tactics to sell used Rx-7s

Mike, that's a real clever road side fix you did there, but did I ever tell you about the time I ....

And yeah Brett, I hear those Prostaff brake lines leak like a sieve. Should'a gone ReSpeed.

Some of you may have seen the email from RockAuto but Beck/Arnley is dropping the first gen stuff. Rock Auto has some insanely cheap parts up for sale.

Credit Cathy for the paint job (we were making a hoodlum outfit for the Silver One, but only got so far).

Also the whole OGTA crew that did the Sexy Pants/White One Rebuild, especially Chris, whose beloved Sexy Pants will now live on in another 1st gen, an SE, no less.

Not sure what the spirituality of that cross will be, Sexy Pant's door in Nightmare II, but it could be interesting. I'm liking those wiper blades Alex.

Do you guys make SS lines that work on an FC? I had no clue. I actually got these and a cone filter from a guy in a trade. I put up $40, half a set of T2 side skirts that I got for free, and the old rear seatbelts from my FC before the interior swap.

Hey now, I got them for pretty cheap. Plus I didn't know Billy made ones that would work with an FC.

They do? I heard that R-Magic was a good company suspension wise. Let's hope the set I got will last and not leak...

Hey, it matches the targa band! Looks good

I got 2 block off plates and the OMP injector screws today. Plus the FC is re-registered, so I'll hopefully be driving it in a week!

Brett,

R-Magic brake lines will work fine, and we didn't know you got a killer deal on them. Don't worry, they won't leak much.
