Really, can you believe it? I turn my back for two minutes and some rotorless Yankee steals post number 10,000. Doc would never have let this happen.

At least Kevin has committed to buying back Dirty Red, I hope whoever ended up with DR last has her ready to go when he gets here.

Brett sorry to hear about Wankel, that's a tough one.

RIP Wankel

Dirty Red has a nice clean low miles 13B going in this weekend. Ported -SE manifold with Weber DCOE and new clutch.

I will flog the crap out of it at DGRR this year and then it's going to a new home. Buyer already found, sorry Kevin.

For reasons completely unknown to me, I was only able to replace one engine mount today.. I broke out the hoist and the jack and tried...tried...tried....tried....tried...tried... and tried again to adjust things, pry, seduce, etc... but no dice. It's typical that the mount I could not actually replace was the one that needed it the most... it pretty much came off in two chunks and some disintigrated bits, and...sadly...I had to put it back on. It's just odd, because when I did Sabine's mounts, I had no problem with either of them.

Also installed my new transmission mounts (with the help of Kristy). Replaced like five cracked/broken/missing vacuum caps...and tightened the throttle cable.

Replaced Maxine's fuel filter.

I'm bummed. The comp. mounts are great, but I can tell there's a weak link (pass. side mount).

My boyfriend ran into my ex... this is no fun.

Good lord I'm tired.

Thanks guys, he'll definitely be missed.

I got a little bit of work done on the FC today. All that's left to disconnect is the pass side motor mount and the longest oil cooler line, then the motor will be ready to pull. If I keep working on it at least once a week for a few hours, I hope I'll have it running dependably and insured in time to take a trip to see the girlfriend and help her move back here from Valdosta. She gets out after the first week of May, then she'll be moving in with me

"Im no yankee dammit!"

Just fooling with you Kevin. Besides, we have an ulterior motive - to get you back in a rotary.

After all, it worked on Holly, after five years of harassment, she finally traded in her boinger for an RX-8.

Another thing to consider, we didn't get six feet of snow down here in Georgia this winter.

'Course we do have those cohabitation laws (watch out Brett).

Collin, uncooperative motor mounts are just a fact of life, not a good reason to sell Wanda.

That first FC would be nice to get cheap. That's great how it only jacked up the bumper and hood bad and not the fenders and headlights. Of course the radiator and supports all around are screwed, but it's fixable. If that were here in GA I'd be all over it.

I was joking about selling Wanda lol

The fact that I still have another engine mount to replace sucks, true, but other than that the car is fine. Need new brake lines, though. >.>

Yes indeed, it never ends... It's the Rotary Roulette we all play in order to be what Apple marketed as: "Think Different". I am driving Wanda right now, Maxine is parked for the time being. I think I need new exhaust gaskets for the pre-silencer. You know that very subtle hollow-sound when you have a tiny exhaust leak? Yeah, I got that. When I dropped the exhaust the other day I noticed just how hardened and fried my gaskets are. Header gasket looks great, though, and there's no reason for the muffler gaskets to be in bad knick, but I might replaced them anyways. It's cheap.

Added another rx7 to the family yesterday.( that makes 4) We picked up a 93 FD shell for use as a track car.!! It is just a bare shell to work with and build the ulitimate rx7 track car in my mind.( to be planned out still, it WILL be rotor powered though)

It has some slight damage to the right rocker panel area. I am throwing it onto a frame rack to check out if the frame got hit. Then onward with the build. Pics to come maybe tonight. But they will be crappy , cramped up garage shots. Pouring rain out now.

the price was unbeatable too

Yea, I found that 6 in a gravel parking lot about a year and a half ago. I kept it in the pocket of a black coat I had and I would joke and place it upside down next to all the RX-7s and RX-8s when I wore that coat. So, I had to do it to my car.
