The vette's and GT's are pretty cool but I'd still rather have an FB, finest overall design ever. Here's the Silver One, a few minutes ago with the rain just starting to come down.

And I could buy two or three decent FB's for the money that guy is going to have to pay to fix his clutch.

Anyone up for a clutch-changing party (Chris, Brett)? The REPU now needs one too.

If school or work isn't in the way, I'd really like to help. Jim didn't give me much of a choice deciding if I'd swap the clutch in their 'vert or not, so I'd like to get a little more experience before I attempt his car.

Like I said, I've done my FC before, but I had help and the helper, my mother's boyfriend, did a lot of the work. So I'd totally be glad to come to your clutch changing party.

Anyone getting snow?? It's 'snowing' decent outside now and has been for the last hour or so. I would take a picture to post, but there's no rotary around, so there wouldn't be much of a point... If you get snow, Ray, I'm sure you'll get a shot.

I don't need any help, I was actually trying to offer help because I know Chris and Brett both need to get under their cars soon. I'll have my clutch replaced in the time it would take you to get here, Tim!

Crit that's a downright generous offer you've made there, Chris and Brett should be all over it. Depending on the day and time I'll try to make it, I'm familiar with all the mistakes that can be made and will offer my expert knowledge to the endeavors.

Brett we had just a touch of the white stuff last night, here's some photos and videos, with an RX-7 in the view, of course:

Not really man. 6 tranny bolts, lower tranny, like 8 pressure plate bolts, remove pressure plate, remove clutch disc. One MASSIVE flywheel nut, remove flywheel, reverse order and done.

Happy New Years Dudes. 2010 is going to be the best one yet.

I have a special deal going for the Jan 5 meeting, I purchased a bunch of 1st gen calendars from Chris at a discount price that will be available to selected OGTA members who show up in a 1st gen.

https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-general-discussion-207/2010-rx7-calendar-817024/

So Chris says he's gonna ship them for the Jan 5 meeting.

Here's what I got so far:

1. Ray
2. Holly
3. Mike
4. Billy
5. Crit
6. Greg the Elder
7.
8.
9.
10.

To qualify, you need to show up, have a first gen and get your photo took.

I'm there. I asked off, so unless he makes the schedule tomorrow and denies my request, I'll be there.

I'm gonna try my best to be there, I actually have this Tuesday off, so I'll be able to show up during the daytime, but Nightmare is gradually fading fast. I'm probably gonna sell the red car as is with the Holley back on it, then sell the 13B motor to someone who's willing to do the rebuild. I'm honestly not looking for much money on either, but I just need something a good bit more reliable for my current situation.

If you're interested in the 13B motor, or the red car running on one rotor (100% complete) PM me.

Not just yet, I can probably pull the harness by Tuesday for the meeting. I don't think I even need it anymore because the fuel pump runs off straight battery power now. I'll pull it, and if I need one, I'll just switch back to the old one, and get you the one you lent me back. I also got your manifold gasket too.

I also have one of those fancy rotor keys from Mazdatrix (hence why I got the gasket), so I'll be willing to sell that as well. It's still uncut, so you can use it on any 1st gen.

I'll PM you about price on the motor.

Also, Ray, sign me up for one of those calendars. I'm interested in having one. Just because I'm giving up on the wankel for right now, I still love it dearly

That's the spirit! haha

I would have liked a calendar, too, if I hadn't already gotten both a Chickflay one and a Grassroots Motorsports one. Maybe next year!

See y'all the 5th. That's the last day before my 2nd semester starts back.

Ray, count me in. I got the tranny and clutch swapped, and the SA is running strong. The dellorto needs a rebuild and tune, but she'll be there! I'll try to clean it up a bit before then.

So what did you find Donnie? Was the clutch grenaded, or do you think it was the tranny?
