lol... unfortunatly not

But Ray and everyone, ya'll are all crazy... I think you should make cards with the FB on them, and then ones with just a rotor, so if someone leaves one under the wiper on a FC or FD, then they wont think the meet's just for 1st gens... uh huhh

Hey guys! I am here at Ray's place. I got 2 engines from him today. It was quite an experience, no engine hoist just like me haha. We got both engines in the back of the protege, and when the last one went in some block off plate....actually I think it was the rear inspection plate... slid so nicely across the base of my thumb. Yeah, hurt hardcore, and had to get 5 stitches lol. All better now. Too bad I missed the meet, but better late than never

Chad, the drawing might be an SE, but that's not bad, SE's are cool. They are kind of like an experimental 12A, not Mazda's best idea, but not bad. Here at OGTA we count an SE as one 12A equivalent.

But I think the drawing on the card is of an 84/85 GSL. Like RRTEC says, those are some kind of after market or SA wheels, or maybe the LS special edition 14" honeycomb wheels.

Brett, someone with an FC or FD who found one of these under their wiper would immediately recognize the source, the veritable well spring, of the rotary sports car that is RX-7. And we count FCs and FDs toward our total 12A count at the meetings.

We patched up Stu as best we could and got him back on the road, should be easing into the Charlotte area around midnight:

Sorry Ray, had to say it before anyone else does

Ehh, it's an enigma. The single sideview mirror says SA, the single-piece seats say S or GS, and the vents under the nose say 84-85 FB. Regarless, the Honda kids that have the same bolt pattern as the SE wouldn't tolerate rims like that on the market, so I think it's safe to say it's a 4x110 car. I like it. We COULD even go so far as to show a rear 3/4 shot of an SA and show off their distinctly different heineys.

If you want, we can split them. I wouldn't mind getting maybe one or two of them. Let me know

Well depending on where/condition I would say. Might be too far.

OGTA just saved my bacon last night. I was out getting gas at 2:30am, taking a breather from the GSL-SE work. Seeing as I've got a one-eyed truck, a cop stopped me for what I think was a suspected DWM (Driving While Mexican). He couldn't believe that I was out getting gas in a short-sleeve shirt (14 degrees) until I explained that I was working on the seven and just needed to get out.

His response? "Hey, are you in that Mazda club?"

"Which one? Well, yeah, probably, but which one?"

"The cars at Jeffrey's."

He's got a Corvette ZR-1 and used to have an 80 RX-7, and the OGTA got me out of a ticket, I think.

Makes me wish I'd had a card.

Nice Crit! I'll bring some cards to the next OGTA together if I can figure out a way to print them (Feb 5, unless Crit want's to reschedule to allow more time to complete the new SE).

So is everyone happy with this one, and if not tell me what to change:

There's no reason to push anything back for the SE. I'll always think I'm a week away, so we'd never actually meet. That said, I should have her running next week

Yay, another 7...

I still vote for an extra version of those cards for FC and FD owners... *hint hint*

And Crit, you should change your sig to read "It cranks and stanks, but no fire yet." so it'll all rhyme

"my SA is insured starting monday!!!! BIOTCHES!!!"

Wooo hooo! Donny, what a BIOTCH?

Crit, I was over at Mike's today after work and got his going, you want me to stop by?

Brett I will work on a mock up of your "FC, FD" idea, have you got a line drawing like our FB for these that I could use?

So folks, we on for Feb 5? I have a major NIH grant due that day and I also have to vote, but after voting for my first democrat that might win in more than a decade, I'll be in the mood for celebration.
