Old guys with 12As club meeting
Hey Abe, welcome to OGTA! Like Holly says, next meeting is Tuesday August 4th, we get together the first Tuesday of every month at Jefferies in Suwannee around 6:30-7:00 pm. We look forward to seeing that silver car!
You guys can joke about X wheels if you want, but I think you are just jealous. Look how good Brett's look now that we did the alignment on them:

Collin, there's a very easy way to get what you want, it's called a PhD.
Sorry about that run in with the vandals Chad, big cities do have a way of breeding a lot of scum.

Have we decided anything for the lakehouse meet? Most weekend dates work for me, but the 9th (as was mentioned before) is a Sunday and that might make it a little harder for the people who are coming from some distance (for me Sunday is okay because I have a lot of vacation saved up). I know a few of the Carolina boys are planning on coming down too. Just need to know the date so I can make plans and put in whatever vacation time I might need.
I would say the 8th or the 15th would probably be better dates for most people (Saturday). The 8th is less than 2 weeks away, so we need to start figuring out what people should bring and post the exact location so we can map it out.

Well as of this morning, my schedule is already made through the 10th.. Don't forget, some people working crappy hourly jobs like me need quite a lot of notice to request off..

We're going for the 8th. If anyone needs to stay over to the 9th, they're welcome to. On the 15th, colleges start back, so the 8th is our last shot.
Well, cross your fingers but I *think* I might have BARELY slipped by to get the 8th off. Hopefully...
Hopefully anyone else with a crazy messed up schedule like mine can squeak by too!

Can you post or PM me the address (or name of the lake) so I can figure time/distance?
Thanks,
Kent
Anyone got some spare ignighters? Karl is in desperate need. We got his car running really well and his tach was acting up but the car ran beautifully. Well today he called me and said all of a sudden his car went back to the old sputtering backfiring POS he limped home the day we picked it up. I know, that what fixed that the first time was hooking up his leading coil and trailing coil to the correct points on the distributor fixed it, so I am almost sure that these ignighters are the problem.

Nice find Michael!

Help my man Dave out over there at the Atlanta South Pull a Part, just don't get killed, OK?
Here's a weird cool thing. So Brett is out at the house last weekend working on his red one and I need to show him how one of the rat's nest vacuum hoses hooks up so I show him on the White One and lo' and behold, mine wasn't hooked up.
Apparently I missed this since the last time I adjusted the carb mixture and idle on the White One, they were both way off. A couple a twists of the screw driver and now she idles better than even the Gray Ghost used to, kind of like an atomic clock.
It's hard for me to believe the White One could get even better than she was.
But she is, just about to turn over 170,000 tomorrow, just when I get back from the daily commute (she's at 169,884 right now). Man what a car, she just keeps getting better. I'm gonna' dress her up for the Lake House Event.

"Used to"? The Gray Ghost is back. It still takes a few seconds to fire on all faces at start up, but once he starts running - he's the bomb.
I got an idea for a competition at the Lake House. We take a half full cup of water and set it on each cars hood with the car running. The car that makes the least amount of vibration in the water wins. We could do this by generation. I bet Crit wins the REPU category.
