Was driving to work and the control arm separated from the spindle. 1 bolt came loose, the other was partially loose and maybe sheered. Probably good I had camber plates so the shock could move. Tower looks fine, shock looks fine. Most of the damage seems contained to the fender, and the tire took a little beating.

Check the caliper line before you trust it too much, Tim. Rotorious, injectors come in all shapes, sizes and flavors. What specifically are you looking for (application and/or top vs side feed, high vs low impedance).

Well $&#^. My shock body may be bent. The shock itself, not the spindle. The downside is these are the custom machined ones to fit the top I have. They were a pain to get done. Hmm. Although I think the MR2 shocks fit in place.

Other than that, and the tire being a bit torn up, everything looks OK.

So do ya'll remember that exhaust ticket I got about 3 weeks ago in Pendergrass? Well I decided to not tell anyone and just pay it myself, but I wanted to read the ordinance I violated, so I drove by there on the way to Collin's to pay it and read that. I guess I was thinking that since I already got a ticket in my car that I wouldn't get fucked with again as long as I stayed away from there (since that's the only place I've ever gotten any attention from), and that since the ticket wasn't even a month old I had some sort of grace period where I couldn't get another one for the same thing. WRONG...

I pulled in their rinky dink City Hall house and noticed a cop outside standing on the porch. I got out, walked past him and politely smiled, went in and payed that, and when I came back out he was sitting across the street in his car. And right when I pulled out, he pulled me over and gave me the another damn ticket like the one I just spent $163 bucks on. And I told him everything like I'm saving to go to college and I just spend a good amount of my savings to pay the same ticket and how was I supposed to fix something so soon when I had to save to pay the ticket first and all that, and he was just like 'oh well'... and he wrote another damn ticket. He was barely lenient and wrote it for 'no muffler' as a state law and mentioned it was slightly cheaper, but it's still going to come from the small amount I've got saved. What the hell? Don't these ******** have anything better to do? When I was coming back home from Collins this morning I drove completely around their bullshit city.

Anyways, I looked up the law this time since I don't have to pay $15 for a copy, and I guess I fall under C:

40-8-71.
(a) Every motor vehicle shall at all times be equipped with an exhaust system, in good working order and in constant operation, meeting the following specifications:
(1) The exhaust system shall include the piping leading from the flange of the exhaust manifold to and including the muffler or mufflers and tail pipes;
(2) The use of flexible pipe shall be prohibited except on diesel tractors or according to manufacturers´ original specifications;
(3) The exhaust emission point shall extend beyond the rear or outside of the passenger compartment. The trunk shall be considered as part of the passenger compartment;
(4) The exhaust system and its elements shall be securely fastened, including the consideration of missing or broken hangers; and
(5) There shall be no part of the exhaust system passing through the passenger compartment or any exposed stack so located that any individual entering or leaving the vehicle may be burned.
(b) The engine and power mechanism of every motor vehicle shall be so equipped and adjusted as to prevent the escape of excessive fumes or smoke.
(c) It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sale any muffler which causes excessive or unusual noise or annoying smoke or any muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device for use on a motor vehicle or for any person to use, to sell, or to offer for sale any motor vehicle equipped with any such muffler, muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device. Any person violating this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
What should I do?

Ever since I've had the exhaust I've read that putting a Magnaflow muffler where the stock cat goes makes the system much quieter. If I did that, would I be in the green since I'd meet all that above? Or am I understanding it wrong?

2nd Gen Help

Bret , Colin, Collin

This should be right up your alley. A friend of mine just bought an 88 vert for his son. I drove the car and it drove pretty well. A couple of obvious problems. It has rattle just in first gear. Sounds like something is hitting a heat sheild. The PO said throw out bearing. What do you guys think? The vert top is rough. Where can he get a used top that will work? Seats are rough. You guys got some seats? Windows don't work, radio does not work. Bret are you still parting out your vert?

This guys son is about your ages, would you guys be willing to hook up with him and point him in the right direction? I'm sure I'll be doing some work on the car. But, I don't know about these new fangled fuel injected trailer queens. JK

I think I've got another possible buyer- Michael, the guy who bought Kevin's turd But I don't have anything good that you mentioned he needed anyways. I've got no clue about the rattle, but for the windows, the switches probably need to be cleaned/ replaced. I've always taken them apart and just sanded/ scratched all over the pieces that make connections. And I bend the little pieces that pivot back and forth a bit. Since I don't have a JOB or any sort of schedule besides these last 2 days of school, I'll totally meet up with him and play around with the car if he wants. Collin probably would too, but he might scare him away from the rotary scene And I've wired a few radio's, so I could play around there too. Plus I've got tons of little random parts for here and there if he needs anything like that.

So, the FB has 4 wheels again. That was a bit of a pain in the ****, but she seems to be back together with minimal damage to the fender, tire, and wheel.

Hey, does anyone have some 12A OMP lines? They're welcome to be cracked, though of course uncracked is always better. I need some for the RX-2 motor to plumb up to the Weber.

Mike the rattle is just probably just a heat shield, no big deal just an annoyance, Ive noticed the heat shield on the passenger side by the exhaust downpipe rattles
I have no clue where to get a used top due to the fact I dont own a vert, just get a new one
he can get seats from partouts, check this site, craigslist, and ebay
the windows could either be the switches or the motor, the motor isnt too expensive, I replaced my passenger side its quite simple, Oreilly autoparts has the motors.

Im definatly willing to help him out if he needs it
