Is the transmission your using a s4 or s5 turbo?

 

Im hoping my car will be able to keep up with sti's and evo's since my brother has an ev8, its ON!

Kinda short notice... but its not too far away, so maybe we could organize a trip sometime in the future.

 

Hi all. Just getting my head above water...literally. Getting through the remodel after the A/C drain leak/flood in the house. FC still up at Speedfab getting tuned. But the pool is done. I should be back fully by the end of this month. We still have no kitchen, but the insurance inspector comes today to approve our 2/3 progress on the repairs.

What is the name of the tuner at speedfab who is going to tune your car.....or are they sourcing sm1 out of town?

Not to cause trouble but I would not let anyone, including Tracy, tune my car here in Jax. Tracy is not a rotary specialist and you should go to someone that is. My car back in the day was with Tracy and his business partner Todd and they really messed up the car. To be fair, it was mostly Todd, but when he got arrested, Tracy could not put the car back together and I ended up trailering it down south. Tracy is a great fabricator but he's never going to touch my car.

You should take the 2.5 hour drive down to Kilo Racing in Orlando and have Jesus Padilla tune the car. Been doing rotaries for over 30 years and he's set the N/A 3 rotor 1/4 mile record so he really knows what he is doing. His number is (407) 438-5467.

Speedfab had a yellow fd with 20g turbo making around 500whp and it failed.... They went lsx turbo..... they didnt even retry.... enough said.

 

He's had the FC for a while now. I'll let him do his thing and if I'm not happy, I'll take it down to Kilo.

 

it does seem like he has had it for quite some time... even with the ignition issue.... I would think that since the FC has been done so many times it should be easy to set up for a knowledgeable person...

 

Especially since its just a bnr stage one, not like its a gt42 on a p-port or anything...

Anyways, how bout we all discuss this @ the five guys in the town center on Friday (not my idea, but a good one...)

When you realize you should have taken it to kilo-- it will have been too late.

 

As a matter of fact... Ill even go as far as to say... NEVer letting a shop ,in jax, touch my turboII is why my first engine lasted me 5 years.
