Greg told me about the meet last week but I keep forgetting to check the forums. I'll have to take time off but I'll be there and when I get off work tomorrow I'll check out the thread and post what I can bring.

BUmmer. MY car is in pieces right now... Getting fancy with the EFI. HAltech, individual LS2/truck coils, ID injectors, and the BNR4 should make for some serious fun. IM hoping by the end of march i will be around showing off the new goodies and tuning.

You do realize that a LSx swap results in better fuel mileage?

if you cant afford gas... learn to drive with no more than 15% throttle and 3000rpm cap.

ls6 - 28.8 lbs injectors which is about 290 cc's

290 x 8 = 2320cc's

13b-t injectors 550x4 = 2200cc pretty close

gas mileage is relative to your foot on the pedal lol...20 mpg in the city and 25 highway is pretty good for me.

Gainesville, FL trip to DGRR:
My plan was to leave on Wed late afternoon to be in ATL that night. Wake up Thursday to meet with ATL guys for the caravan. Gringo Grande will already be in ATL so I'm riding solo unless Jax and or central and south FL meet up with me.

There is a slight chance that I will be leaving Thursday am (EARLY) to meet up with ATL caravan but would rather not drive 8-9 hours total on Thursday

Whats the Jax FL itinerary?

So far I have no idea who all in the area is going. I plan on leaving between 6 and 7 on thursday to meet the caravan around noon. They dont plan on leaving there till around 2pm, so that will be a good time to relax before the next drive, get lunch, etc. It would be pretty cool if the north florida guys could do a caravan there....

Well, its about an hour (according to mapquest, LOL, for me prolly 30- 45) from both Gainsville and Jax to the 75/10 junction. If everyone in both cities left at around 7, we could meet up at the interchange (a petrol station is close, I'm sure) around 8 and get into Atlanta around noon. So far I don't have commitments from and 8 owners, the only one I think is considering going is Kyle (black turbo'ed 8)

So just to be clear on the directions, if you were traveling north on I75, you would cross over I10 before getting to this exit, right? and I am fine with that. We should agree on a time to meet there. Seems like the 8 crew is pretty much gone, with people moving away, broke, broken, etc. so it looks like its just me... lol. I guess I will be hard put to keep up with a corvette motor and a 3 rotor

correct..I would pass the I-10 and I-75 junction...you will pass two truck inspection stations and then hit the Jasper/Live Oak exit on the left.

I'm a very slooow driver...I don't usually lead because of this and no radar detector. We'll let the 3 rotor lead us...lol

Well I DO have a radar detector. I drive faster than the speed limit, but I have a rule of no triple digits for myself. I usually cruise at around 90 on the highway cause thats were I get my best gas mileage, which is hilarious. Speaking of, what kind of range do you get out of a tank of gas with the v8? I get about 240 on the highway, 220ish city.

I avg about 22-25 on the highway 20 in the city...so conservatively about 430 miles on the highway and 400 in the city.

highway cruising at 80 mph, my rpms are about 2200

but if I make a few runs 70 to triple digits...the car eats the gas much much quicker. so much so that it will drop the average down to 18 or so mpg.

Holy ****, your V8 gets better mileage than me! ROTFL! at 80 I am at 4000 rpm. For some reason between 3200 and 4200 the renesis runs rich as hell, you get better mileage at 4500 and 90 mph than 80 at 4000.... But I knew it was thirsty when I bought it, not complaining.

They say 16, but I have never put more than 14 in it. I guess that does make a big difference
