Iceman's. Thats is the rx7 i was thinking about.
Me and that kid used to be the only ones in sat night meets with turbo 7's. We never talked though.
HOW much boost is she ruuning? Whats kinda goodies were on it? It didnt look like it had a fuel cut defencer on the passenger strut tower..
PS. We could have a little mini 7 meet at sonics tonight. Be nice for atleast 3 to 4 7's to show up.

maybe next time we can get something planned & have a few cars show up
Guys, I need some help. Katy and I bought a used rotor off some guy on here, and we need a second opinion on whether to use it or not. Wondering if anyone has rebuilt/knows about rotary engines to come look at this rotor, and give some advice. I'm looking to do it ASAP, later today or tomorrow.
I have already told him I wanted to send it back, but the PMs are getting nasty, so if I can possibly get by with it, it would be better. Please PM me and I will dish out my phone # to contact me.
I am located in Orange Park, but am willing to meet up pretty much anywhere. Sorry for the short notice. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it!!
Thanks
-Patrick

DUde. U cAnt just go buying a rotor.................
Rotors have different weigts. I think there is A,B,C weights. And different compression ratios.
Besides that the rotating assembly has to be balanced together.
Meaning. You can rebuild a motor with its original rotating assembly and not have to balance it.
You change anything from the balance weight,rotor,E-shaft. And you CANNOT rebuild without balancing the rotating assembly first.
But i have heard of people that know how to match the rotors By A,B,C.. Your best bet is to call driving force.

To enlighten you, S5s have a higher CR (9 to 1) vs S4 (8.5 to 1), so no, you cannot mix and match S4 and S5 rotors.
The weight rating, on the other hand, CAN be mix matched, to an extent. Weight ratings range from A all the way to E, with B and C being the most common weight ratings. Rotors can be matched no more than one weight rating apart, ex A to a B, or, C to a D or B.
No one has any experience in rebuilding besides shops?

When u said that u can use weight one letter apart. Yes that is true. But the guy that told me this--- seems to never keep his engines running more than a year. Probably cause he never uses EMS' and always has some hood Puerto rican way to get around tunning fuel/ignition.
But yes, You have done your research. But take that rotor to driving force, he will tell you if its good or not.
Yous should post a picture of the rotor in question. If its bent pretty bad around the apex seal area its probably trash.
Ps. I have some rebuilding experience. I have torn down a engine and i know how to put one together-- just never done it. Cause my last rebuildproject was tossed due to half the block being trash. Rebuild videos are the ****.=)

But they say in this rebuild DVDs that you can use up to one letter apart, so I'm pretty confident that the one I have will work. I guess I will swing by a shop and have them look at my rotor.
