My Car Broke on the drive home from the meet..

I went to the oleta state park today with the guys for the meet... everythings fine

untill we leave... running ok till we got on the highway and all of a sudden when i

hit it in 4th.. the car was hesitating n then not going anywhere.. Good thing simon

was with me i pulled up next to him n told him then showed him what i ment and

we got off the highway and pulled over the cars ideling like crap and a lil black

smoke is comming out the exhust at idel (not constent). the car was leaking

coolnt so we jacked up the car up and took off the undertray n looked around..

we see its leaking from the water pump.. which i had a mini leak before cuz

waterpumps bad and was going to get a new one by the end of the month.. but

that cant be the only reason its running like **** now... any Ideas anyone?

the car was going in for some repairs in june.. it seems still drivable because i

drove it home running like crap and you could just feel it..

Here's wishing you good luck that it's not a blown coolant seal. Sure sounds like it. You def should have replaced your waterpump the second you knew it needed fixing.

Check to see if the coolant seals are actually gone. White smoke is not the only way to show that they are bad. Take out the sparkplugs, then take a lighter and see if they catch on fire. If not, crank the engine with the plugs out and see if water comes out of the sockets. If water comes out, here comes a new motor.

Like Chris said, you should have fixed the waterpump the minute it needed fixing. Let any FD overheat just once, and your asking for SERIOUS trouble.
