Just finished voting for Saturday lunch and the last eamil I received from you was on 2/21 and it did have the schedule attached. I missed the attachment the first time I read it. The schedule looks good. Good ideas for Saturday, I'll let the sheriff's office know of their time slot and I assume we'd like for them to leave some time for a Q&A session. I'll see how much time they need to give us their information; do you have any idea how much time Rob and the motorcycle rider will want? If I tell the Sheriff's PIO person they have 15-20 minutes and have all 3 speakers sit for a 15 minute Q&A session after their presentations does that seem about right?

Keep some good notes on your contacts and what it takes to put it all together. Next year you can delegate most of the assignments out to others and then go up and thoroughly enjoy the event. I think this is going to be great fun and will give us SE Rotary owners a chance to meet each other and become closer and become more confident of what can be done across the southeast.

Well, if we are having BBQ Friday night, I don't think people will want to have it Saturday too.

Those are probably people who won't arrive till Saturday, but I can do BBQ Friday and Saturday. If it's something I like, I could probably eat it every day.

I think that would work. Killboy wanted to speak with Rob and then answer some questions from the drivers. I'm sure they want to make it as short as possible..
Just as you said, 15 minutes to Sheriff's PIO, 15 minutes to Rob and Darryl, and 15 minutes of Q&A. We'll then wrap it up and head up to Deals Gap.

I completely agree with you.. we all know each other thru computers but not in person. I hope this event will help us get to know each other better and also spark our interest in these cars even more. I've always learned something new and saw something new at every rotary event I went to. I hope this event turns out as well as other events across the country.

Deals Gap is no joke! 318 turns in 15-16 minutes will take toll on you and your car.
Depend on how hard you want to run, you also want to make sure your car is ready to handle. We noticed no guard rails and also easy 100ft drops.
I just loved it when my brake pedal went to the floor. BRAKE FLUID GUYS!
A guy in my club managed to do a 360. How he did that, i have no clue...he's still alive though Be very careful in the wet.

And if you're a passenger, don't look down If you're driving, you'll be so focused on the road...and it's your first time, take it with caution.

Very true! As you can see at the end of the video, Drew had a rough ride! I am sure he would also warn you not to drink Mello Yello during the ride...

Damn, this looks like it's going to be killer fun!!! Unfortunately I highly doubt my RX7 is going to be done in time. I just put the engine hoist together tonight. I haven't even pulled the engine. And when I do, I still have to order tons of things before I get it rebuilt and reinstalled. Maybe I can join next time.

Made another trip to the Gap this Saturday to get some video. Lots of bikes, but no 7's (except me). That will be the last trip until I get some new brakes. Two weeks in a row takes its toll on pads!!

What time were you up there? I was up there Saturday with my friend in his White 86 Base FC. We got there around 3 and stayed til after dark. It was a great trip - awesome weather, not much traffic, and nobody (completely) crashed.

Interesting note for those coming from the TN side - be aware that the pavement turns completely to **** when you pass the North Carolina state line. Come on NC, where are your tax dollars going?!
