Just sent you the money and already got my room reserved at Fontana Village. All I got to do is put on all new brake pads in March and I'm there. It looks like we'll have 5 guys from the Raleigh Rotary Drive_Ins there to do battle with the dragon.

If anyone has a list of the necessary PM items all participants should pay attention to to prepare their cars for the weekend it would be nice to post a Preventive Maintenance Checklist for everyone to reference while preparing their cars for Deals Gap. If not I'll prepare something and let everyone review it and make suggestions.

 

I called again to make reservations and again they tried to hold out on the discount. I got the name of head guy, gonna give him a call today. The 2 times the g/f and I have called its been late at night, so I don't think the night staff knows much about the event. Has anyone else reserved any rooms, cause they said only 1 other person for the group has.

As for the preventive maint. I was planning on buying a new set of tires, brake pads and oil change. What else would you suggest?

Its currently their off season and They are definitely understaffed. I was told their restaurant isn't even open, and I can't get the catering price.

Also, I want to be clear about the T-shirts.

I am extremely upset about this..

I just got off with his secretary and he's currently out of the office until tomorrow. The deal was what I mentioned earlier due to increase in interest. I've left a message with his secretary to call me asap. Once its all taken care of, I will let you know. If he doesn't honor earlier agreement, I will be very upset.

Hey Guys.. I'm glad alot of you are interested in this event.

One thing that would greatly help me would be if you guys would go ahead and purchasing the T-shirt. By purchasing the shirt, you are helping me by get a definite number to how many people would be coming to this event. Its free event and I'm trying to get free food and drinks. So, PLEASE help me out by getting one (or 2).
I'm putting in quite a bit of my personal time (no pay) trying to get this event going. And more people buy these shirts better chance of getting sponsors to pay for food and drinks.

I would like to point out that I'm in no way trying to make money on this event.. unlike other events that charge 20-50... So, please help! I would love to see 75+ Rotary Cars at this event.

I my engine builder and his friends are interested in coming to this event also.. RX2 and couple of rotary pick ups.

Sounds like the interest is building, if you need any help on stuff the Raleigh Rotary Drive-In members will do whatever is needed. Just let us know what we can do before or during the event.

First off, where is everyone from Raleigh staying, so I know where to make reservations... and does anyone want to split a room with me and my friend? That would make life easier and cheaper, I am sure... plus it will allow for more rooms to be available so other people can stay in one place.
