NC's governor wants a state lottery, his answer to state funding anything is "if we only had a lottery" everything would be great, better schools, smarter kids, better roads, sunnier days, an ocean front condo for everyone, "if we just had a lottery", (sigh).

My response is "if we just had a governor" that could manage money, make good decisions based on the needs of the citizens and not the interests of the few, "if we only had a governor". (@$*%&^**)

Hamblen claims to be the only county in the state (and one of few in the country) to have every listed road paved - but then again, if you have been to Morristown, you can see the waste (some would say corruption)...marble floors in the police station, street washers for all main streets, police cars with the same system as the LAPD...I could go on...

People in the north think we have all dirt roads...and have Jethro schools...
I guess they are only half right.

 

TN definitely do have better roads.. Funny thing was that one time when I was getting my car towed from Cincy, OH to Nashville, TN, the tow truck driver acturally said to me that TN roads were worse than KY.. I don't know if any of you driven I-65 from KY to TN.. but there is a definite difference when you cross the boarder..
