Going to pull my turbo off today too....hope I can free a stuck seal. If its a bad apex I will be going ls1. 60 miles 95 percent in Charlotte traffic done in one day after working for 2 years....the more I think about it I might just be parting it out.

Here's a great demonstration on the difference between tq and hp. You can see when the cobra shifts he starts pullin cuz that's where he's making the most power/tq but as the 7 holds that 4th gear out it's hp ftw!

DJ, Long has called first dibs on the HTO4E, but I may be building him a hybrid Garrett 55 trim. I don't know at this point.

 

DJ...there's a gt30 garret on cl for 250 that's new....I tried to pull my turbo today...idiot that installed it stripped the nut on the top right manifold...so I gave up for the day and started on my other car....I had a bunch of loose bolts so I hope that took care of my clunk. if so ill be at the next meet. It sucks my engine crapped out after one day but I was already toying with the idea of a nice street port. Finding funds as I type

 

I heard brake boosting from the FD. I would like to see the results without brake boosting....

 

I think the Cobra would have pulled him pretty hard from the punch, FD probably wouldn't have came back till the top of 4th but woulda been comin quick judging by the way he was pullin in the vid.

Hi everybody. I'm a newbie to RX-7's and would like to get to know some of the local community. This thread is extraordinarily long so I didn't read all of it. Has this meet actually happened yet or still being planned?

 

Welcome BeauNC, lol ya this club has been goin pretty steady for close to 4 years now...maybe longer if I'm not mistaken? Meets the second sunday at every month in Mooresville. Bad 83 knows the directions there and may post the link...
