i suggest u check around to some local salvage yards. there's a shop local to me that rebuilds starters and alternators so maybe there's one near u. check the phone book. have u checked with a parts place to see what a new or reman starter will be?

any of you guys interested on an SE with a freshly built bridgeport engine, my buddy josh is selling it, i believe he said he was gonna get rid of the F.I. and put a carb in it, but i can't remember...he's also got a webber 48ida with manifold he wants to get rid of, it's a regular down draft tho, not a sidedraft, i can't remember all the specs on the car, he said the interior was very well taken care of and stuff, but i guess if you're interested p.m. me and i'll let him know

The results of my trip to the rollers....290RWHP 274RWTQ RETARDEDLY rich A/F's from about 5.5-6k on. I'm talking A/F of 9's
Stupid rich. It was breaking up in the upper range so much he got out of it at my request.( I told him to be very "conservative" with what he saw. Good guys at AP in Black Mountain.I weighed my car at the CAT scales on I 40 on the way home...2660#'s with 1/2 tank of gas and a chainsaw in the boot
.. 1860 over the front, 800 over the rear. I need coilovers and corner weightined badly..
Now the bad news......Got out Hp'd by a TA..315RWHP...slower in the quarter he was. By OVER 1 second at the 1k foot mark. Whatever that means to you drag racers

So dod I!! But I also have taken enough bikes to the dyno and killed peoples ego's. The dyno never lies and it exploits ANY weakness you may have.. In this case The rich A/F's.It was very hard to keep myself from upping the boost,...but I resisted until a good tune is had.I actually would have been happy with where it is, the car weighs next to nothing which really helps. Nost important thing I got out of the trip was a good baseline graph that shows where everything stands. Time to head back to Rotorsports and talk fuel maps!

Yeah Stu, It feels faster than that, but then, That is exactly why everyone likes to "bench race" and hardly anyone likes to get thr "true #'s" It always deflates someones ego...If they think they are badass in the first place. Which, I don't think I "talked" the car up much. I expected mid 300's and would have easily achieved it with a more liveable A/F.. Next time

well im just rollin in. dave glad you made it out, everyone loved seein your car and samantha is hounding me to boost now. had a blast at the dyno and was especially happy with the 7 after we fixed the actuator. The guys at appalachian performance did a standup job getting us all in there and running. I let John the owner run my car in the 1/4 mile after you left dave and even with him missing a gear still beat my first time for the day. i ended up running a 15 flat after fixing everything. hp numbers were 110 b4 i fixed the actuator and 130 afterwards.
damn what a difference that little adjustment made.
