Bryan showed me a trick to removing stuck side seals out of a rotor. I was sceptical, but man he knows all the tricks. The rotor that had the seals seazed, got them out no problem. Josh, if you don't want the S4 rotors, I'll keep them. I have some 13B plans for the future.

I won't make it this Sunday. Have to go to a picnic. On the plus side, I'm going out to look at a super beetle today! I'll keep you all posted.

Did you guys see this 13B this guys unloading for $100. Someone should snap it up. Not sure where in NC he is tho.

Nope, he's dropped it down to 100 bucks and wants it gone check the thread out. I'd snag it but I don't want a 13B for my project.

Didn't get to go see the beetle today, no answer on the phone yet. Hopefully later tomorrow I can swing by and look at it. Keep your fingers crossed.

Dude I was so wasted last night. Friday night I got like 2 hours of sleep, which is less than my usual 5, then built the bridgeport engine all day, got home around 10:30, celebrated. I don't remember when I got home, but it was probably late

I'll be coming down in the 7 today!!! Might be a tad late, but I am not gonna miss 3 in a row, I'm slackin.

EDIT: If I came on here last night when I got home, I probably woulda said something along the lines of PISTONS 4EVA ROWTEREZ SUCK and promptly get booted from the crossroads meet

Well, today was a light meet. Still had some fun anyway. The bridgeport is running great. I can't believe how much differance in going full bridge. I won't make that mistake again. I'll look over the video Cory took for me, and try and get a vid together. Missed you guys that couldn't come. BTW Josh, I got one for you......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p022gV9_DoI

hey guys sorry i did not make it but spent the whole day painting AGAIN. I think it should be good, a little more dust and trash in the hood then i would want but hey its in a freaking barn right. I just hope there are no dry spots, or any runs or sags. I fought the compressor and gun all day. Last night when getting everything set up i blew a regulator, and busted a o-ring in the shut off. I got those rigged back up, i had to run to lowes and buy 20' copper line to splice in to the tank inlet side. The pump was getting hot and transferring alot of heat to the regulators. I coiled up about 15' of line and spliced it in and put the coils in a 5 gallon bucket of water to reduce the line heat, IT WORKED. As i got going painting today the cup came up loose and dropped a huge drop on the hood and then again on the rear driver fender. I got most of the excess paint off the fender but the drop on the hood was untouchable. I finally after 4 coats of paint got the gun, tank and pressure settled and got a decent final coat sprayed. I cleaned up and let it sit a minute while mixing my clear. I shot 2 WET coats of clear, but being it was getting dark and bugs were out, and my exhaust fan was screwed up i got some trash on the hood. But hey if the door is not sagged and there are not any fish eyes im ok with a little dirt in a barn yard paint booth LOL. You guys will definitely see it next time.

Well, I talked to the parents of the kid who's wanting the SA. They are willing to pay me extra to deliver the car. They are wanting it asap. I just hate to sell it. So Robbie, you still wanting to sell your '80 SA? I might be interested after this weekend. They are wanting the car Saturday. Man, I really hate this........

Here is part of what I did today. Sounds like Robbie and I had similar days

I decided yesterday that I am tired of the 2 close silver metallic colors I had going on. So,.. I stripped it down, did a quick touch-up job on some spots( not perfect,..not trying to be this time around

I got a new type of Primer that I wanted to test before spraying Ant's car tomorrow. It is black tinted so that if/when a chip occurs it is at least black underneath and harder to notice. It sprays really nicely compared to the other high build I was using.

Anyways here is what I just got done doing 20 minutes ago.. Blocking it down later tonight.

flat black is sexy, makes me consider leaving the car flat black.......any votes?

I noticed a few more little dings to attend to. But the raceing stripe key marks are all but gone on the sides.!!Yeehah!! I still have to get the FB running tonight so I can drive something to work.Haha!! Back out to the shop in another 1/2 hour or so.

I think flat black looks good for the first 1yr but then it turns faded looking and can get milky, just my opinion. I knew a guy that did that to his jeep and looked great at first but vent down hill fast

Now your thinking Josh

If I was to go Flat black I would go with a color layer of Flat black.Quality PPG or equiv. Then a low luster clear. BUT, I am color spraying it today. I think I am feeling sick. Cough cough.

my old guys....

well after carfull consideration, I have decided to hold off on modifying my 7 for a while. I decided to pick up my unfinished projects that I started years ago. my 71 C10 and my 79 celica. i have all of the parts for the c10 just need help lowering that cast tranny (hint hint). i broke a flywheel bolt at mooresville dragway one night dooogh!! And the clutch locked up and wont release as well. so I have all of the parts for that to get finnished. the celica used to be my old race car from back in the day, and it has been in the family since new. dont see many old celicas these days im doing something alittle diffrent with her, check the picture out that my vendor sent me and see what you can figure out http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...exaustmani.jpg

yeah im going to finnish what i started years ago. the motor i built pushed 295 hp na and ran a 8.52 in mooresville. we will see if i can beat that this time arouond

dre needs a break from rotors, dre not like rotors no more ..j/k man, i have a friend whose dad has a couple of older celicas and supras they're pretty badass...and i almost bought a c10 myself at some point, i didn't know much about it, but it had a 350 and it was freshly rebuilt, it needed lots of body/interior work tho cuz it was used as a work truck for the longest time...but that woman backed out and decided she wanted to keep it.
