Dude in Canada said he has sent out a Money Order to me for the FD. Told me once I have the title inhand to let him know and he would fly to Huntsville and drive it back to Canada. We'll see.

 

Did he give you a tracking number for the MO?? Someone pull something like that to me and never sent one and said they did. From that point, I will NEVER accept MO/Check unless they send them via certified or tracked.


Also, I thought TNvalley RX8 guys did a good job. I know most of us here don't really need a lift to do things (since FD's are tiny and we tend to wrench at home). But I think we need to revive the MRCCAL again!!! If you guys are interested in MRCCAL tech day like them, I could ask trussville... or BNR?? Or we could just join the 8 guys.

 

Got the Money Order FedEx this morning. The guy says he wants to meet me in Huntsville around the 8th of Dec. So it looks like my FD is gone.

 

Glad the guy actually came through about the car, Brad although it still sucks to see another one leave.

 

Congrats Brad! Its kind of sad to see such a nice car go all the way to Canada..

 

I was really hoping someone local would buy it so that I could see it every once and a while but at the same time I know that I would miss it every time I saw it.

I do want thank a lot of you guys for your help while I had the car. I appreciate it greatly. At least some of you won't be hounded by all my questions now Thanks again.

Be carefull on that money order. There were some fake money order scams going where once it was deposited in the bank it would take a week or so for the bank to figure out is was fake and well by then the car was gone.
I would go to your bank, and explain that that is for a car and for them to call and make sure it is good and the funds are there. Then deposit it and I would still wait for it to clear. Then I still would ask for his DL, SSN, Address, and phone number just to be on the safe side.

 

That is too far away. We need to try to get together once an month since everyone can't always make it. Between TN and AL I think we can do something even if all the 7's are up for the winter.

I did all that. My bank is sending the money order off to their collections department. I was told it would take 11 business days for the funds to be deposited into my account once the bank verified the document is authentic. The buyer isn't flying into Huntsville now until the 15th of Dec. so I can make sure that my bank verifies the document as authentic. I think it's straight though...the guy is in Toronto and he sent me a certified money order from the Bank of New York with routing numbers and the whole deal. My bank called the Bank of New York and verified the money order but they still will hold it and go thru 2 more checkpoints on the money order over the next 11 business days.

Mike, I'm always up for Big Ed's....we got two All Meat pizzas and 2 orders of Cheesesticks the other night...great stuff!

Here is a pic.. before you remove it.. make sure to double triple, let your wife, kids, friends check it. Once removed and wrong ones, you might have to get a new PFC

 

Yep, got it from Gar at the same time.
I am just gonna pull those from the plug for now and tape up.
I like the idea of removing the pins on the apexi ecu but want to make sure I have the correct wires first.

I have the color codes and pin numbers so I should be fine.
