Is this a good deal?

1983 Rx7 Gsl, one owner, garage kept. 79k miles. It was sitting in the garage for 7 years, they did brake work, carburetor rebuilted, exhaust work, fuel tank cleaned, lines changed and new fuel pump. Car starts right away, and the a/c needs a little freon.
We're at $7500 right now for the car.
I owned a 1984 Rx7 in the early 90s and another one in the early 2000s. Can't wait to have another one.

One owner
79k miles
Recent work, runs well
Seems to be unmolested and not thrashed for a 40+ year old car
Strong engine numbers

Yes, that looks like a really good deal.

Excellent deal.... Get an RB exhaust though, that poor muffler is hanging on by a thread.

Hopefully it was decent car in person….were you able to work out a deal? Seeing the interior and the manual choke **** bring back some memories with my 1980 7 I used to own. Looks like a nice find!

I decided not to buy it. It had too much rust underneath for my liking. Even a small whole quarter size forward of the aft right wheel. The paint looked pretty good but it had been painted prior. The seller was either ignorant about it or lying. Per him, it was a family members car and he was selling it for them. He had the original title, one owner. The engine started right up. There was a big play on the steering wheel. It needed suspension and what ever else was corroded under neath . The rpms and gas gauge wasn't working. He said they spent over 5k after sitting for over 7 years getting it back up and running. He's desperate to sell. I just didn't want to buy a rusty project. If someone from here wants to see it, he's willing to take around 6k for the car. He's in the Chicago area. If someone wants his info just pm me.

That's a shame, sorry to hear. These cars are old now, so I think you're bound to need to make some compromises on condition.

Rust is most peoples deal breaker though.

Good luck!

Rust can be fixed. And those seats are fantastic, classic first gen and very desirable.

Overall condition is very good, mileage is low, original title, one owner.

Not many like this around any more.

Sure, it's gonna need a little work. That's the fun part.

Worth every penny of 6 grand, a steal for 5.
