I just now ran into this thread after lurking the rest of the forums some time ago so pardon the tardiness... :3

Anyway, I bought my 1993 CYM RX-7 R1 as a birthday present to myself last year. Left it under the care of an individual I thought I could trust...(long, silly story) but it has since been relocated to people I can trust more (parents).

I was acquainted with ogmikeG awhile back through some mutual friends. He's just about the only Fayetteville, NC rotorist I know. I met up with some members of Raleigh Rotaries (Brandon and Mike) via their facebook page and met a couple more rotorists during my time here in Hawaii. They're known as HI RPM (Hawaii Rotary Powered Mazdas).

I intend to revisit NC again during the coming holidays...but we'll see how that all works out if I'm unable to visit Japan as planned.

So...yeah...BUMP!

 

I'm back in town for the moment, so if anyone wants to come help me put my car together and drink some beers feel free to hit me up.

I haven't seen any Rx-7's on base in a long time. Today I saw a modified red/gray FD and a beat up FB on pope and leaving Manchester gate I saw a stock red FD at the 87 intersection. It's funny how that happens!

Nope, the poor fb I saw has seen some hell. The guy said he had got it a few weeks prior and I told him he should get on the forums. Nice CYM though!

Picked up a 1987 TII last month to replace my (wrecked) 350Z. This'll be my 4th FC since my three in high school and good lord did I miss it. The thing is currently on jackstands while I tinker with it and wait for my license plates to come from Illinois, but I'll be driving around on Bragg and Simmons.

Anyone around here still? I saw a red TII roll out of the Tradewinds subdivision a few weeks ago, across from the gas station on the corner of Shady Grove and Elliot Bridge. Anyone on here? That's the only FC I've seen since I moved here over a year ago.

 

I saw your post on Raleigh Rotaries, I am currently Deployed but will be back in two weeks. planning on having a rotary cookout soon after that.

 

Does anybody have plans to come to Deal's Gap Rotary Rally in April? I don't think a date's been set in stone yet, but either way, I plan to finally go out and drive through The Tail of the Dragon that month.

 

I am, but i will have to pick wich rotard to take, 79 IMSA, 84 GSLSE or 93FD...

 

I really want to but always hard to plan ahead for that. I've either been in the field or afg the last few years.

 

I'm fairly new to Fayetteville. Are there any good places to go out for a spirited drive around here? Some secluded twisty roads?
