Here is a thread i started on my car last year there is no way better to explain.

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-non-technical-pictures-198/some-pics-my-engine-bay-im-finally-almost-done-780487/

Here is also another engine I built for another friend of mine who is also from the area but just got deployed a couple of days ago. he is also in the forum. his user name is "ledee".

https://www.rx7club.com/rx-7-audio-visual-lounge-143/doind-rebuild-my-friends-812198/

he took the car to the track once we were done and went from a 14.7 to a 13.2 in the quarter of a mile.

talk to you later.

I am non military. I live in the Raleigh area. I am just trying to meet some rotor heads. I heard Fayetteville has a 1/4 mile drag strip.

Yeah About time I can really start posting without being harassed... took me like 3 years just to get one post up!

I know this thread is old... And I already know you mike (think your in haiti at the moment)... and I seen the cute yellow FD rollin around at the lost late last yr....

So is anyone elsee here... pretty much all the FCs around Fayetteville have crap job V8 swaps that constantly have problems... (no disrespect if your one of they guys with a crap job v8 swap with constant problems :-D... )

Well mike if you get back and read this...

I took the 7 temporarly outta commission... bein the cute little 4 seater non turbo FC it is... I figure I go ahead drop the turbo engine tranny and back end and do the whole 5 lug conversion. Have my boy finish the body work and paint... and drop about 2 grand in the interior...

Oh You wont be the only black FC around hurr.... course then again im still debating...

I might have to check those meetings out. Back near Seattle, before I joined the Army, I had a bunch of 240s (RB'd, SR20'd, KA-T'd), Supras and one sweet minivan. I did my own work, but now I don't have a garage or my tools, so my new FD will be pretty mild for a while.

Having just been stationed here at Fort Bragg, AND just picking up an FD, I would like to know where you get your car worked on? Is the local dealership experienced enough to be trusted (as is a huge problem for FD owners)? Any local rotary specialists? Nearest performance shop?

well you can hit up the coscom auto skills center they got tools for just about any type of job out there... and then you have paul . . . (politoracing) he is the rx7 guru around here... he is always ready to help out people with their 7's but unfortunately is gonna be going to kansas for some years and will not be able to help out physically but can offer a great deal of advice.
up in Raleigh there is the mad scientist ray (arghx) he is really good with these cars and others as well. . .
