Eastern NC RX7 meet...............
I applied to UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State, and ECU. I got accepted to ECU today, so I'll definitely be attending college next year! I might end up applying to UNC-W and the University of Hawaii, but if I do, it won't be until late december. Chris, where are you applying/trying to go?
As far as majors, I've changed my mind quite a bit over the last few months. Right now I think I want to be either a pharmacist, an optomitrist, or own some kind of business.

PS: By any chance does anyone know of anyone selling a good 12a? I need one for my senior project.

My main thing is not to spend more on the car than its worth when everything is said and done. Bascially the car will essentially be perfect when I finish. Ive got a local bodyshop who's going to help me do the painting and body work, the owner of clean and fast said he would help me out, and ive got a few people that my parents know.

yeah, this fb has some driver side quarter panel damage, but thats all I know right now, do you just wan t an engine, or do you need the car too. a guy in hampstead has an fc for 1000 with full exhaust, and it runs, I want to get it(I'm only 14) and I hav like 700, but my parents prolly wouldnt let me. I hope I can help ya out, that fc is supposed to be pretty nice, but I cant get it, maybe I'll get some more info, and you can get it
I want to get an fc so bad, but my mom and dad wont let me yet. next summer(when I'm 15) I can get a job, and make enough to get a decent tII, like I'll have around 3,000 hopefully, every penny I have is being saved for my car. and the first day of tenth grade I can drive, which will be cool
I learn from Chris' m,istakes, like making f's is not a good idea, and I practice all of my car working skills on his car, so i can screw it up, not mine, LOL. and I've learned because he only had 400$ when he needed a car, and luckily my parents paid 800 for his car
Jerry at Clean and Fast has a FB with no engine for $350, so if i could find a 12a i would get that. If no 12a then that FC or that FB woudl interest me if you don't end up getting either one of them.

Not on my car, but a friend's.Anyway, there are numerous problems with trying to get an FC engine to work in an FB bay. It can be done, but it is far easier to find a GSL-SE style 13B and drop that in (or get a GSL-SE to start with
). The main problems are the engine mounts. On the FC, they bolt to the sides of the center plate. Pre-FC rotaries have the engine mounts in the front housing, and I think in the rear as well. Ren
ren, i agree about clean and fast. i have heard mixed reviews. but like you, i cannot speak from personal experience.
and as for joel knowing more than msot 20 year olds......
good luck with the project stephen. don't bite off more than you can chew

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm really just trying to find a running car that needs a lot of cosmetic work done to it. I think that would be the easiest route to take.

UNCW would be a lot of fun, i've filled out the application, just have submit it, pay the application fees, and send in my personal statement and transcript. (all of which i have) I want to hear back from carolina and state before i cost my parents another 50 dollars.
