what day are you going, rt?
reese says he wont be available until later friday evening, and I thought perhaps saturday might be too busy for us all to be wanting attention at the same time (though I dont know how many are actually coming), so I was thinking about sunday. ****, I dont know, but communication is a bit lacking in this situation.

Sorry, Kevin. I'm sick as hell right now and not in the most organized frames of mind.
Since you two are coming the furthest for tuning (and you both will be using the PFC), we can go ahead and set Sunday aside for you both. There are one or two people that might show up from Charleston on Saturday, and the other three cars are local (Frank, Heath and myself), so that might work out best.
Again, I'm sorry about not staying on top of things considering I'm the one that started it. BTW, Kevin, I'm not sure if I resent you my number. It's (803) 767-2538.

Yep, sounds good! Kevin, I'll be here all day, so whatever time works for you.
RT, if you choose to show up a bit earlier, let me know.
See you guys in a couple of days!

hey, is everything still on for tomorrow? its a bit chilly up here but i think you guys are ganna miss it. i was ganna try and show up around 1 or so. can you give me some directions?
also, i got the widaband installed today. seems to be fine. but the afr is way off. definatly n eeds this tuning. it idels at 11-12, then with driving on vacuum it raises, then on any positive boost dips deep into the 10s. i bet the graph is all over the place.

ok, rt: From Charlotte, come down 77S until you get to I20 West (towards Augusta). Take that to I26 West (towards Spartanburg). When you get to exit 101A follow the road around and pass the Burger King and Waffle House on your left. Turn left at the gas station just past the Waffle House. Cross the railroad tracks and after you pass the car wash on your right start looking to your left. You'll see all the RX-7s in my yard on your left. I'm directly across the street from Dutch Fork Church.
Kevin, no tuning was accomplished today due to the rain. We didn't feel comfortable doing high speed runs on the wet roads.
We did manage to get my motor in the engine bay at least...
Anyway, we'll see you guys tomorrow.
1pm will be perfect, RT!

ok, thanks to those that came out for tuning! Due to some setbacks in getting my car ready as well as the weather being complete crap on Saturday, we didn't get quite as much done as we could have otherwise.
Andy Baker from Charlotte (rtturbo) left a short while ago after getting his PFC tuned. From what I understand, he was pretty happy with the results. Including the time needed to swap BDC's wideband into his car he was done in about 2.5-3 hours.
Kevin from Rotary Resurrection brought his 1/2 BP T-78 FD out from TN and that thing is a BEAST! According to him, it's even more so now that his AFR's aren't exceedingly rich. His best guess is in the ballpark of 450WHP! Nice job!
Heath was unable to get his done since he forgot that the exhaust shop cut his O2 sensor out when they redid his exhaust. That should be taken care of sometime tomorrow, hopefully as we're anxious to see the results of the 1/2 BP and GT40.
Frank discovered a possible problem with his setup last night and so his tuning has been postponed for a while.
Andy and Nieto came up from Charleston on Saturday. Nieto's would barely start, and Andy's was running hot and rich. At least a couple of hours were spent with each of them. I know that Nieto's running problems were taken care of but he found a new oil problem.
We swapped a new E-fan onto Andy's car and the heating problem went away. More was to be done today but there were scheduling problems that weren't communicated to us in time so they picked up their cars this morning and took them back home.
My car should be started for the first time tonight and I'll keep you updated on the tuning status. I'm excited to say the least!

Yeah, I'm definitely happy with the driveability of the tune. The car was certainly making good power and driving around okay before on a rough tune, but I am now a full 1.5-2 points leaner at idle and cruise which is definitely nice...the top end also cleaned up some as well, and the power is smoother there. Brian definitely knows his stuff and isn't afraid to answer whatever questions you have. Well worth the money.

Thanks alot for the compliments, guys. I had a great time today.
We finally got Reese's 20B started after about 2-3 hours of fussing with it. The good ol' old-school ATF trick and map reconstruction for the E11 did it. I'll be posting up pictures and videos once I get home on Wed the 22nd. I am pooped and I smell like uncorked rotary... but of course, I'm not complaining.
