Anyone in Charlotte area have Apexi BOV?

I think mine has failed and would like to switch it out to see for sure before I buy another. I suppose it could be any BOV with the same type flange...

I live in the Elizabeth/Near Uptown Area and would be willing to travel as far as an hour to figure this problem out. Should only take 30 min or so of your time.

Give me a hand - I cant stand only boosting to 8psi!!

Thanks!

What's up Shawn, Been a long time. Is it the same flange as the Greddy type S? If so you are welcome to mine. Let me know. You hitting Zoom-Fest @ Road Atlanta July 18-20?

Hey Dave! Hows the car coming along? I hadnt heard of zoom fest, I will check it out and let you know.

I think it might use the same flange as the Blitz DD but looks like greddy one is different for sure.

I was thinking that if someone has their BOV mounted on the same type intercooler piping as I do I could switch that out also. I have it right after the turbo on a pipe that uses the stock route around the coolant fill...

Thanks!

Naturally Asthmatic!! Force feed it!! Shwan I will shoot you a pic of my piping. Mine is mounted after the ICF before the greddy elbow. If that pipe will work you are welcome to it. Are you haveing a boost leak issue or is the BOV not releasing pressure?

My car is coming along slowly but surely. I am actually painting Anthony's T2 for him from our meets. The black T2 with red flames I am priming some of his pieces and I think my hood so I can have a matching front clip at least.

Assembly after painting new fenders and front bumper TGM( Titanium Grey Metalic)

This is where my car stands as far as body progress. Steadily approaching the light. Found hidden body damage when i removed the side skirts and rear skirts. Been haveing fun. But limited time.

Zoom-Fest is going to be sweet i think. I am 1 of 12 people signed up for the Sunday PDX. Join in if you get the car up on full tilt buy then. If you need any help or if you think one of mine may work I can swing buy some night. Just let me know.

I'm having a boost leak problem. Can only get to 8 psi or so. I looked at all the couplers and checked all the clamps and they looked fine. But I have been told by a couple people that BOV's almost never fail so it is likely one of the couplers or clamps.

So I suppose the next step is to just pull them apart and look at them all.

bro, i can't even think of all the times i have had bov's go bad even just on the dyno!!!!

if you have access to a little sheet of metal, just make a block off plate and see if the problem still exists. a little compressor surge for a test run isn't gonna hurt anything

I have moved out of my house and all my tools are in storage so I have no car facilities at the time being. Which makes this simple issue a bit harder to fix for me.

I have had a couple other things come up since I moved out and luckily I have been able to fix them with my limited resources.

Hey Shawn, I was going to be out of town tomorrow but that has changed. Soo, If you were intrested you are welcome to come by my place and we can make a block off real quick out of AL I have here. OR I can bring a little piece and my jigsaw to your place and make one. I plan on being here all day prepping and priming parts of the car I am painting.

Let me know if you are intrested.

Made a block off plate out of a metal light fixture plate and the limited tools I have. Boost still leaked like crazy. Decided to take off all couplers and inspect them. Took a guess at which one had failed, removed it and that was the bad one.

Called a few shops and found one today. Headed out on test drive now hoping I will see 13psi. Then I can tune to 16!

Thanks for the help. Sorry I didn't just guess the first time and have been done with this a month ago.
