I'm very interested in how your car will turn out. Please keep us posted and maybe I'll be following your footsteps next year.

Ariel,
It is my understanding after having spoken to both Rob 'Rob20RX7' and Danny '550rwhprex7' that this project car is solely for their use .. their personal use, not to be confused as a project car for the SO FLA RX CLUB.

However, Dwight 'Autohaulers' did purchase and donated a '93 FD to be solely used by all the active paid members of the SO FLA RX CLUB as a Track & Drift Car.
This FD will be our project car where each of you will be able to get a hands on experience taking it apart, donating items and just really working on it as a collective effort from its members. For instance Roland 'Outkast' posted that he would be willing to donate a 3" Mandrel Bent Downpipe. Someone esle called me to donate the racing seats.

Here is the thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/se-rx-7-forum-35/project-drift-track-car-so-fla-rx-club-members-only-502750/

I think its a good undertaking of Rob and Danny to build a track car so they wont have to use their own and I applaud them on their efforts on their project. It takes quite a bit of flow to get it done and time. So I am looking forward to seeing what they will produce. I wish them well.

Like Val Mentioned. This car is for my own private use. I am posting my progress on here to share and take input frpm those who have it to share. I am aware that the club is wanting to put together a Track car and after speaking to Val, He has even mentioned that there has been a car already donated. I commed this club for what it has done and come with over such a short period of time. Yes i will be involved in trying to get my project done but i will definatly like to help with that one of the club. i would love to see the club car on the track as well. that would be exciting. Never seen any other club pull that off.

here are some pics of my car ready for the Roll cage shop.

Did you find that car somewhere here in Ft Laud?.....I was actually looking at it also and contemplating on getting it. But decided not to. Good to see it went to someone that will put it to good use. Good luck with it.

Thumbs up

Here is an update, The Car was finished today, Just as the fabricator Prommised (9 Days). This guy is out of hand with his work. His welds are even and artistic the way he bends the tubing to truly follow the inside contour of the car. I have seen a couple roll cages that have been done. This guys work surpasses them all. A little pricey, but you will get what you pay for. I dont know anyone else that was able to get all this work done in that amount of time. AND it still look this good

Install 8 point roll cage through fire wall onto front struts
Driver and passanger Nascar style side protection
Mount Pedal assemblies
Mount sterring Column
Remove Factory Driver side floor pan and make new base for race seat and brackets
Mount 4 Gallon Dry sump Oil Tank behind poassanger seat
Mount Tabs and brackets for 5 point safety Harness x2
Mount 22 Gallon Fuel cell
Cromoly Tubing through out
Weld mount tabs all around the sunroof and Install lexan with black border for sunroof

Total = 4100.00

Here is the Front Oil Sump Cover by Mazdaspeed. This is some serious race **** here. only way to get this through Mazda North America Operations. This is the same one used in the Mazdaspeed 3 rotor ALMS Prototype car as well as in the CLR Motorsports Race Car (owned by Carlos Lopez)

and here are the Carbon Fiber Hood and Hatch.

I have the FAL Poly carb rear window on the way and it should be here by mid next week. I should also have the brakes in by Friday.

As for the engine, I have ordered the rotors and the housings and the counter weights. I cant get into exactly what im using, but i can say that it will be a CLR 13B Peripheral Port engine. I am still deciding if im going to go Carb. or EFI. But according to CLR. I will be doing about 330-340 to the flywheel. At 1800lb without driver (you guys do the math) LOL.
