I dont know, but try spot welding the body for added stiffness. Just an idea.

That is a task i have seen others do. And im sure it works real well. But my figure is that with the role cage and strut bars and the car weighing in at just under 2000lb. this is a Rotary engine and the torque is just not high enough to flex this chassis. At about 340hp to the flywheel you are looking at maybe 270 torque. that wont even flex a stock chassis with no role cage.

As far as progress. the side plates have been lapped and painted as well and all that needs to be done now is some clearance grinding on the rx8 rotors and some other mods and this engine is ready for Stacking. According to the engine bulider (CLR Motorsports) this may be finished by Early January 2007.

Exclamation Engine Broken in and installed in car!!

As of this past saturday, the engine was broken in nicely. Sounds Awsome and made real good torque on the engine dyno. I have to say that Carlos Lopez has come up with a really productive combination to make these 2 rotor pp engines make all this power. Now that the engine is in the car, we will be making the engine harness and finalizing the little things left to have this car on the homestead speedway for the July 14-16 farausa.com race. Slowly but surely after a little over a year. this project will be comming together.

Thanks to all for all your ideas and support
And a special Thanks to Carlos Lopez from CLR Motorsports for this awsome engine pakage he has put together.
And a big Thanks from the bottom of my heart to Al Delrisco From BMF Racing for all his fabrication and technical ideas that have made it possible to have this project become a reality.

Hey Rob, make sure you post a reminder about the race in a week or two. I'm sure I speak for more than myself when I say I would be interested in going to watch
