Sk8world's build thread..

Instead of adding to the other "engine finally went" thread I decided to start a fresh one for those who care.

New motor:

Med street port and semi peripheral by Goopy!
Balanced and race clearance by Balancing WIZ
New RX8 e shaft
ALS seals
Adaptronic ecu from Turblown
custom harness from C. Ludwig
Direct fire on AEM Coils
Turblown stock size studs and going to mix in 5 goopy oversized
Custom turbo manifold from Sean @ A-spec
Borg Warner S482 billet turbo with race cover

I will update and add pics as I find time.

Not a 100% yet. Still looking into a auto set up. Wouldnt mind trying to shift a 5.99 diving to and from track. I am still on oem mazda driveline. Maybe I will try and beat that oem dtiveline record before I swap to auto.

Lots of nice parts but have to ask, why did you go with the "smaller" turbo?

compared to what? the T6 version? Its a step up in both wheels from my last set up. So well see. The shop I got it from is local and made me a good deal. Compared what it was going to cost me to upgrade the rear wheel on my old turbo it made more sense to just buy a new unit. I am changing so much and I mainly run 1/8th mile events. Well see what it makes.

Ok. I gave in. Sent turbo back for t6 96/88 swap. Just have to decide if I want to run a 1.3 or 1.5 housing

nothing much just collecting dust really. It seems that even when she sits in the garage somehow when I go to use it **** still needs fixing lol it never ends. I'm picking up welding and using my girlfriend's 13B drag truck as the guinea pig so that's been keeping me busy. I'm real excited to see your car back up and running tho so keep us updated!

1.32 housing on the 96mm wheel seems like plenty, I couldn't see any reason to go larger? It's not just the number, but a ratio. T6 w/ 96mm exhaust wheel will flow tons more than the T4 wheels regardless of the A/R.

Fuel pump
Fuelab 1300hp one looks interesting. Max pressure 125psi.

One of the local guy is using the 1000hp one and is very happy with it. Around 400$.

pump

Thanks man. I was set to go e85 but after taking with ray last week I may just stay q16. I still need more pump. We ran out last time on twin supra s. I may try the1000hp one. Been thinking about doing a small cell also instead of dumping my stock tank. Reclaiming q16 is like paning for gold....
