I have broken axles even with the Tilton in there.
Switched the jet in there to the smallest one. Will see how it does as soon as I get my clutch ironed out

Yeah....looks like I will go with the sintered iron disk....read somewhere, your not supposed to use the stock flywheel with those? That doesn't make any sence to me.
Talked with Ari for about an hour. He had some good suggestions.

Yeah, Ari is a great guy. I have been running the stock flywheel with my iron disk and its been great for a year so far.

Tilton is what many use and works just fine. The clutch masters allows you to change the jets out without having to bleed the system.
Thanks Sk8workd, So where does it sit and do you run it with the standard master cylinder? Also does it do any damage to the clutch it self with it slipping ?

You just run it inline going to the clutch. No more damage than slipping it with your foot. It just allows the same thing but being consistent or dialing it in with the differant jets.

I figure my luck will be better 60 footers with this and broken axles.

But my biggest reason is trying to help from having tranny breakage.

Mike,
I broke my input shaft again in March with my faceplated trans. I haven't even talked to Paul about the repair. Sounds like they are running behind again at Liberty. I haven't thought about the orifice but that might be something to consider to help my problem.
G/L. I'd like to hear about it once you get some runs under ur belt

Great numbers. Can't wait to see how that bad boy does at the track. I think the tranny set up Roan has is the best and reliable option. The stock fd case will flex and crack so the best gear set will only flex more. The T56 with 1-4 dog ring then 5-6 stock is the best of both worlds, IMO
I used the Gforce g101 but ya gotta cut the **** out of the tunnel.

Thanks man. Well see. The tranny did well For a longtime. I am wondering what the limits are power wise. I keep thinking auto, auto..... But that doesn't sound too fun on the street.

My liberty stock box was 3k when built. That's with a new cluster assembly and moly output shaft. It went over 2 years with no issues. My rebuild ran 1k. If I get another 1-2 years I am ok with that. But I will say I am worried if it will hold the new power. I hope the new valve helps on the shifts. Wonder how much 100rwhp will drop the 1/8th et? Also going to try and pull 100lbs off the car. Goal is 2670 w/ me.

Goin from 9.83s to 9.20s in 1/4 mile equals to 6.30s to 5.90s in 1/8 mile with around 100 more rwhp, not dead on but around.

Based on your traps, I think you were over 600 before the retune. Are you sure you are really adding 100hp?

Your 1/8th Mile ET is 6.35
Your 1/8th Mile MPH is 111.66

This is using Wallace racing calculator putting in 600hp and race weight of 2770. Pretty damn close to my best pass of 6.36et and best mph being 111!

If you do the math on that turbo it is good to 600 max. When I would turn the boost up from 30 to 32, 35 it hardly picked up anything. I could believe 615max but not any more.

The dyno we used this last time is known to read a tad low 10-15hp low. If you look at the other cars tuned that weekend there numbers are all on the mark. Nobody made any crazy numbers. So my 700 should be solid and I believe it is.

IMO the internet horse power calculators are based on the VE of the power being constant through out the rpm range for each gear.

On a turbo car that power is not constant in fourth gear. "If" you cant run waste gate spring, you have a manifold problem or to much back pressure. The longer your in fourth gear the more "back pressure" is created and power drops off.

1st through 3rd gear is not as bad because the lenth of time in those is gears is short.

That is why there are cars out there that run great 1/8 runs but cant translate that power to the 1/4 mile.

just my two yen.
