nice... whats the details on the set up? turbo? seals? port? etc

RXTASY57 05-20-13 10:28 AM

I have somewhere around that much power except my clutch is always slipping!
Right now I am running a CM Twin Disk and it lasted for about a year before it started slipping.
What do you use?

Nope, some dyno in AL somewhere. They had a tuning session there last weekend.

Sweet! Thats good news. I always thought the numbers that were from his dyno were on the higher side.

Thats a ton of power and I cant wait to see what it does on the track.

Trust me... I am foaming at the mouth!

Waiting on liberty. I hope to have it back in 2 weeks. Adding a flow control valve. How much do you let it slip?

Yeah he mentioned he had 2-3 he was doing at the same time. I think he built my entire tranny last time quicker than the repair this time.

You guys using the tilton or clutch masters?

I am thinking the clutch masters is the better choice since you can change the jets at the track depending on conditions and NOT have to bleed the system.

Bacon 05-29-13 10:29 PM

Tilton, but if I was to do it again clutchmasters

I started with the middle size, still was able to break a inner cup after 9 passes, went to the smallest jet And sintered disk and love every lAunch, have to watch the data logger for wheel speed to mke sure the 2 step has enough rpm so it dosent bogg, after valve finishes its slip,75-7800 has been my magic range

Hey guys what is this you are talking about? Never heard of this before or know what it does?
Does it let you slip the clutch on launch?

Yes, I am going to use it to stop shocking the driveline with too much power. I think that's what stripped my third gear. Fast shifts and the load is too much for the weak components. The flow valve runs inline with the clutch line. Let's you choose which jet to allow how much fluid is getting by. So the clutch is slipped even though the pedal is out. Tilton is what many use and works just fine. The clutch masters allows you to change the jets out without having to bleed the system.
