Injecting fuel pre-throttlebody

i have been through a few set-up's but am sticking with this current set-up i have now. JW manifold with custom made upper plenum using a Mustang 80mm TB.

i have 2 of these rails http://www.rossmachineracing.com/ima...injectors4.jpg with 4x1680's. Im planning on these being on the intercooler piping pre-throttlebody. Im wondering about how far should i place these from the TB and why...

kinda like this...

I will be running E85 as my fuel also. and i still have the primary injectors in stock location.

anyone here have experience in this?

Im no artist but i drew this up real quick.

As of right now, i am running a small intercooler right in front of the radiator. I might remove the intercooler and just have the short pipe between the turbo and throttlebody. not fully decided yet... not sure on fuel rail placement because of how short the pipe would actually be. but if i keep the intercooler and all its piping, i would have one dual injector fuel rail 6 inches away from the throttle body, and the seoncd one 3 inches behind that one. seems better this way to me. and the intercool will keep everything cool if my cooling mist pump fails...

What are you planning to fuel the car with at idle? Spraying fuel on to a closed throttle plate isn't going to work real well.

I am no expert by any means, but judging from a few different setups that I've seen, I don't see why it would be a problem. I believe the RE-Amemiya FMIC had two injectors on the TB hat.

With that said, you should consider the pro-jay TB adapter:

Or at least, try to replicate it.

i was going to buy something like that. but i built my own for 50 bucks. and 80 for the throttlebody. im not tyring to set any records here, so the extra money could be better spent on something else...

and your right. i forgot about all those TB adapters for 2nd gens that inject pre-throttlebody. So it shouldnt be a problem either way. the major thing i was concerned about was distance from the TB. I know when using AI, the distance in nozzle placment has a pretty big effect. Im just going to try the 6" and the second 3" like i said earlier. if theres a problem, it can easily be moved in just a few minutes...

That is very similar to what i plan on doing. Adding the injectors upstream will also help cool the charge. I plan on adding 2 1600cc injectors with the same rossmachine injector holder and spraying the fuel against the airflow. I don't like how the injectors are placed in my lower intake so i want to move them as close to the turbo as i can and still safely run a BOV.

this is the reason i first wanted to do this... Just like AI injection. even better since i'll be running E85 wich has awesome cooling properties compared to regular gas or even C16. what do you think about placing them 6" away and the second one 3" away making it 9" away...?

im going ahead with it. i already have the JW manifold and upper manifold built and ready to go with the mustang 80mm TB. just gotta add 2 of those ross machine injector holders to the piping.

you know if they fit around 2.5" or 3" tubing?
