Definitions
Power Adders are Turbo, Supercharger, or Nitrous (injected). The number of allowed power adders includes any factory power adders. Meth/Alcohol Injection and Intercooler sprayers are NOT considered power adders. Any Nitrous system that injects into the intake (not sprays externally) is considered a power adder. If you wish to enter a class where you would be otherwise not be allowed for using nitrous (too many power adders for example), you MUSTremove the bottle completely from the vehicle.
DOT Approved Tires are defined as any tire that carries a manufacturers DOT approved tag, regardless of compound (radial or bias ply). Example: ET Streets
Radial Tires are defined as any radial compound tire. This can include aggressive tread patterns that are often referred to as 'drag radials'. These are allowed in all classes.
Rear Exit Exhausts are defined as piping that runs the full length of the vehicle and exits behind the rear wheels. There are no checks for mufflers or cats.
Interior Requirements are defined as the basic required interior pieces. Showdown only requires a factory dash, all other classes require front half of interior with both seats and carpet. Individual missing pieces are allowed, as long as there is no obvious stripping of these locations. Replacement or removal of factory pieces to accommodate gauges and electronics are also allowed.

Mike,
I'm loaded up and ready to roll out tomorrow after work. I saw on another website that you had to work. Hopefully I'll have my other tranny back for the Montgomery event. I know I can't hang with you without it. I'll try to do work for the rotary guys!

Awe.. You hanging around Hondatech too..

Good luck this weekend and keep me posted how you do. If Brad shows up in the 300z in rwd that will be your only real comp. He went 10.60 at the last event he was in and he is hell on the tree. Bracket racer! Other than that you should be good to go.

Dont even worry about beating me.. I would be happy to race with you, win or loose!

I think I am going to make a complaint to the organizer on the rules though. I just dont see it fair that FWD in Modified class can run slicks and we cant. The rwd class and fwd class have identical rules but when you go to Modified street class fwd can run slicks but rwd cant. Only thing it lets us change is running a side fender exhaust and 5 gal fuel cell but fwd can also do the same? Besides the GTR that class is over run by fwd with slicks that go mid to high 9's.

Just goy in. I had a rather embarassing day. I qualified 1st in the class and after a long oil spill delay, I was working on my car to get the low water level buzzer to stop buzzing and I missed the call to the line. I got DQ'd as a no show. Where we parked, we couldn't hear the loud speaker well. I was told about 3 people got DQ'd as no shows for the same reason. However, another FD won the class...Beat a Supra. I enjoyed meeting the other FD owner...a good guy. He had a full bridge if I recalled correctly. I ran a 10.9 and trapped 135mph with my crappy trans. I don't know what happened to the 300z. He was there but apparently got beat.

That's bullshit! I almost had the same thing happen to me in Montgomery. That's one reason I don't like ifo having the stereo contest a you can't hear crap. If you are not set up right in front it sucks. I think they should make all the races cars park together and the other crap somewhere else.

I saw a pic of you 11 sec and 10.9 pass! Congrats! I also saw a pic of brad in the 300z but his pass was bad. Get that tranny ready for Montgomery. Let's plan on getting there way early and setting up in the front. I will bring a canopy tent and generator. Pm me your number.

Mike

Thanks. I loved your car. Congratulations on the win. We had a bunch of folks over in our pit area talking, messing around and one guy was tuning on his car and lots of revving But I really can't blame anyone but myself. I was surprised that I had to ask people to get off my car. I had 1 guy sitting up against spoiler and later someone else was "sitting" on the rear fender. I don't have a show quality car but you just don't go messing with someones car unless they say it is OK. Anyway, hope to see you in Montgomery.

Yeah, hope to see the both of you in Montgomery. I am going to get a few more rotary guys to show up and race in Montgomery, so with you two coming we should have a good rotary turn out.

Was the old school Datsun 1200 piston or rotary powered?

The Datsun was a 13B NA car with a carb. It was really clean and a nice car.
