youll find i do things very differently to the norm, as the norm is a bit boring, i know the norm works but then its no fun

I also run the re lower and upper intake. Port matched to irons. Had a local shop c-n-c me an adapter plate to run the rew tb and stock linkage. I also cut open the plenum to clean it up better.

Second pic is what I brought home a few weeks back..

Now just have to decide what to build next the rx3 or the TII?

this is a vid from the weekend of the other car in or team, only got a few passes in as the mechanical setup with a auto and a single leading magneto ignition system is giving us headaches
we are at the point where we know we need more stall as its only flashing at 6500 on the converter and we need taller diff gears as the tyres are 33 inch tall and 4.56 gears are in it from the toyo v8 combo, time for some 6.0 gears
Only problem is we have found the nose of the crank is now bent any ideas on how this happens ... anyone

you can see why im tagged as beefcake

ive got a small update and the season is starting in three weeks time
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...0#post10254010

Got to get the intercooler pipes modded to fit and fit the bellhousing with new clutch and get a retune and then time to get me banana into the 9 second time zone , im going to do a back to back tune on same boost to see if the new intake is all its meant to have been, if not then **** it and smash in some more boost

Well well, bugga me , who knew that getting engaged with the missus would slow down the action with my car, she put a lock down on me so we can get married and buy a house this year .

But after missing half the season i cracked the ***** and said im going racing
Got the car quickly on the dyno and finally did that retune with the new inlet manifold , scabbed a extra 44 hp with same boost same everything except inlet manifold and smaller intercooler pipes .

It may be more but the snow tyres (best i could find in no time ) we had on the back kept going mushy after every second pull , and the other drama we had was it was shutting down the hard drive on the dyno, the dyno dyamics didn't like my banana revving and vibrating next to it

So **** comes toshove im racing me much hated and loved maz at the track next friday and sat .
Ill keep you posted

Got some dodgey camera vids, its also the first time i used it as i now know to turn it sideways to film it correctly

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyAgmW4SKDc

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLDY41x4EmM

never got to do a good full redline power pull, it was either cutting the dyno out, or the tyres were slipping too much

it cost me 350 aust dollars to make it , but it would be difficult as he needs your lower manifold so it can be machined and port matched , it needs to have the countersunk dowel holes made inline as well , if you wish to send a lower manifold to me i can get it sorted delivered to him picked up and posted back to you, (no cost from me ) , it will take a few weeks as he is a one man machine shop , and most of the rotary people in my state are always sending him work to do .
Its costly because of the one on one hand port and machine work, but so far for me its worth it

sorry guys it was a **** two days at the track on the weekend for me, gearbox is now locking me out of gears, and also on last run data log showed 36 psi, its only tuned to a tops of 21 psi , car still runs but i dunno if anything is damaged,
Possibly wastegate is seized ,as i dont have a boost controller, just gate spring pressure , also possible input shaft is seized onto spigot bearing, its dragging me forwards with foot down , gay spec weekend in total, worst thousand bucks ive spent to get it ready for 4 passes this weekend .

Anyway this is a dodgy incar shot of me getting crunched out of gears , its not even a fast run

At least your at the track dude, better than the rest of us.
Thought I had gotten this straight line stuff out of my system but watching you makes me wanna get out there again.
If you don't mind me asking, what happened to the datto ute? Was keen to see it run some numbers but saw it only got the one pass in qualifying.

also Beef runs in super comp here in australia, with cars running with an index as quick as 7.0 and **** so the field can vary. The good thing about the class is they always get the better run times compared to the other class he could race in which is super sedan and thats all dial your own.

Sorry for the misshaps. That can be very irritating and I'm pretty sure everyone has been there, I know I have. Other than the 4th gear it wasn't that bad of a run.

haha yeh its a 7 sec pro stock ford escort , the class im in puts me up against all the different pro stock race cars, efi turbo cars v8 and other , and even some altereds , I get around to chat with most of the guys in the class and they are all happy that i make the feild bigger, its usually a small feild Super Comp, so they are happy that im in so they have at least another race to run, all be it that they know they can walk straight past me first time every time

My index for my category in this class (bb/om) is 8.45 , so effectively that's my dial in, and even with that im 2 seconds away from my index dial in , so gay

Tones you know you wanna do it ,broom broom haha
