beefy finally gets a run
so after 4 years of building i finally get a run, first out i bunny hop to a 12.4
then next i go into the 11.2 zone then next out i get into the tens. it went 10.7 10.6 10.3 then back to a 10.5 with some nice limiter bash and third gear spin  Im going to be racing in another two weeks and hopefully ill dip it into the 9s, as when i started this build years ago all i hoped for was at least 9.99 on my stock rear end and stock gearbox :icon_tup: got any questions ill answer them, im not setting any records just having some fun, and im certainly not re inventing the wheel so ask away http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7ygEbD3D00 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PX0ZgmKrcw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNJIjZOH_7g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cbk2hH8o2nk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBPInSxUotM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyvph1n27jU |

Congrats on finishing the project, now is when all that work pays off and you get to have some fun :) You shouldnt have any trouble going 9s especially only weighing 2100 lbs. Nice 60' too. Good luck and keep those videos coming.

|
yeh thanks fellas, im stoked .
the boost was set at 21psi in only a wastegate spring setting, no boost controller as of yet , and my best 60' time of the day was 1.358 averaging around 1.4 cant wait for another two weeks time to do it again  those holden utes are the most common car you could see around aust, everyone loves em, and there is so many mods that can be done to them, at the mo twin turbo kits and supercharger kits are selling fast on them some info on the combo : 89 FC stock chassis, stock fc t2 rear end, stock t2 gearbox with syncro mods only, 13bt t2 half bridge motor, s4 rotors, PTS 2mm apex seals, ida efi with ta45 76/102 mm turbo on 20 psi boost, 26x8.5 slicks , motec computer and ignition, sunoco maxnos fuel, 420 or 450 @ 20psi on the dyno depending on what ramp rate or jack off your left nut rate you wish to use Car weighs also 2174 pounds too, my first time out too in building it over 4 years react... .228 60' ... 1.439 330' ... 4.342 660' ... 6.662 660' ... speed 108.60 mph 1000' ... 8.635 1/4 ... 10.311 Terminal Speed ... 134.93 mph |
WOW, how did you get the car so light?
|
Very Nice.. I predict 9.8's in your near future.. :)
|
ill show yous special weight loss pics when im back home from work

ok photo time of uncle chop chop, how to loose pounds
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3...efsunit028.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3...efsunit003.jpg this is not my door but this is roughly what i did  http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3...76/gayshit.jpg floor deadener http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3...f/P1060005.jpg roughly i took out front and rear reo bars, cut out the door frames drilled out rear hatch metal , cut out boot floor , dry iced out the floor deadener, removed complete car wiring harness and dash board, ali seat was fitted, chomolly cage fitted , weld rims fitted and just about anything that had no purpose was ripped out of the car, i still have to loose 70 pounds to make it to minimum spec for my class 2100 pounds , but since i way 260 pounds  i can cut more out of the car, as its weighed with driver and cloths and helmet and full tank o fuel  Ps this is me 260 pounda shot at the local motorkahna track in my old 808  No wonder i picked beefcake as me username  http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3.../ahgday016.jpg |

Nice work. Glad the hard work payed off.. What wheel/rim combo you have on the rear of the car? I like the way it look on the car?
|
Nice work, looks great!
|
Your interior looks a lot like mine. haha. Other then my dash is sheet metal. And I happen to drive from the other side of the car! hahaha
How did you get your cell set up? Just chopped the floor/stock tank out, welded in a set of bars and mounted the tank. Then threw a new sheet metal floor/housing over the cell? |
I love it!!!! Thanks for sharing the pics, I know what I need to do now!! Who did the motor?
Have you been using the PTS seals for a while? Anthony |

pretty much that was it, except the two bars are bolted through the chassis, as its easier to remove the whole lot if work needs to be done in the area.
