All Motor FB, lotsa pics
Hey all, Just wanted to show everyone some pics of our project All Motor FB.
We had this 85 GSL-SE donated to us by our Tuner who wanted it out of his driveway, it has been sitting there 4 years without turning a wheel. I was very surprised to see how good the car was for rust, or lack thereof Once all the interior was pulled out, it revealed a very mint floor pan and inner fenders.
We just started this project 2 weeks ago, here is what it looked like once we got it to the shop

Here is our tire/wheel combo lol.
3 spoke 16" Advans with 255 Toyo RA-1's in the rear and the FC 4 bolt spares up front.
The 255's didn't quite fit in the rears so we ghetto rolled the fenders since we're painting the car anyways. We also installed the Re-speed rear coilover kit in it to get the right ride height.

Then the stripping began,
I bead rolled some door panels with a rotor shape in the center!
Partially finished cage, still need to run door bars and we're going to go through the firewall and attach it to the front strut towers
More updates to come once we have the cage finished and the car painted. Hopefully we'll have all the engine/driveline parts and we can start to make it look like a car again!

No engine pics yet, but I'll give ya a rundown of the setup
13B PP (obviously lol)
S5 N/A rotors with 2mm carbon apex seals (rotor faces have been thermal coated)
Mazdacomp race rotor bearings
RX-8 stat gears
2 55mm TB's from a Honda Civic or something lol
Wolf 3D V4 ECU
6x550cc injectors (not sure if that will be enough or too much, guess we'll find out!)
Turblown's stud kit and extra dowels have been added.

Well obviously we'll start out slow getting used to the car, but I'd like to see mid to low 10's
The Canadian Sport Compact All Motor Record is 10.52 , so I'd like to beat it!

The black FB we were building for the Pro Compact class, but we couldn't get sponsers for it since its too old of a platform, instead we are building an 04 RX-8 into a Pro Mod car:

The black FB we stripped down before is getting a Ford 9" built and backbraced for it as well as a 4 link setup. He's leaning toward a 355 V8 for it...but who knows.
We're going to get it up and rolling first lol.

Cage is now finished, not much else to report....still waiting on parts coming from the US. Half the season is gone here in Canada now...boooo.
The rear tires are Toyo RA1's 255-60R 15's
I think we should have all the parts by mid July

FINALLY got the PP housings!!
Also got Billy's ReSpeed rack and pinion kit, Moser axles, 4.77 gears.
I'm picking up my S5 N/A rotors from our machine shop this week also. Had them tip clearanced for the high revving Also recieved the race rotor and main bearings.
Need to fill in the ports on a set of irons, have them lapped lightly and its assembly time. Then to the engine dyno to get dialed in.

A good buddy of mine in NJ made them for me. I'm not supposed to give his secrets away, so I'll take blurry far away pictures of the housings for everyone
