Nice project RPM,i see your cage setup but was wondering did you check the rule books for the cage setup, from one picture i see the plate welded to the floor looks to small. If you plan to race some NHRA tracks they require to be 6"by 6" plates all around when welded to the floor on all corners of the cage.Nice car project by the way.

Thanks guys, it's taking alot longer than I first thought to get everything put together and to find the time to work on it.
61620B - I realize now that I need 6"x6" plates for the cage. Oh well...probably just going to run it here in Canada since the rules up here are much more slack.
meca - The housing pics are up above!! BTW I got your pm. I'll give ya a shout soon man!

Diff is now all put together with, new axels, wheel bearings, axel seals.
Re-Speed adjustable lower conrtol arms
Since I didn't like the look of the factory upper arm, I made a complete new one.
I now have the car up on one of our chassis tables to make sure everthing is straight and to setup the rear suspention properly. I'm thinking of ditching the stock spring and strut and fabbing a mount off the diff and up to the "frame rail" for a pair of adjustable QA1 coilover shocks.
Oh and Mario (meca) I powdercoated the PP housings....look much better eh!

LOL, and Rotaryengineering thought they were big ports... Its all about port timing! I ran 9.01@147mph 1/4mile and 5.7@117mph 1/8mile Stock chassis full metal Starlet weber nitrous, with the same port.....Cant wait till its done Joe

do yourself a favor and use S5 GTU brake rotors on the rear...they are way lighter then the ones your using and you can use the less rotating (drivline) mass when running all motor.

Been a while since I've updated.
I decided to make my own front subframe to fit the Cosmo 13B oil pan and the engines new location. I've moved it back about 4in and lowered it an inch.
New front fenders right from Mazda
Front Re-speed coilover kit installed
I fabricated my own lower control arms and subframe for the front using an FC (2nd gen RX-7) manual rack and pinion.

My steering is complete and works awesome....I used a tilt steering colum from an FC!
Plasma cutting out more weight
Fabricated a solid transmisson brace
Then I rolled it!
The car is now getting media blasted inside and out, soon to be back for a few last parts to be welded in. Then Paint!
