street port

okay, posted this in 2nd gen, something got screwed up (comp has been messed up) and it ended up posting a blank thread, i'll repost in here seeing that this is about performance.

Earlier I was thinking of doing a t2 swap on my 88' gxl. With the way money is going, that is not going to happen. I have decided to keep the n/a and mod it. I was starting to look into getting it streetported and had a few questions. Will it still be a good car for an "everyday" driver? How costly will it be for the port, and will I need to modify anything else(like a carb)? Also, where would be the best place to go to get it ported? And lastly, what would be some good mods to go along with a street port?
Thanks,
-Eric

doing a streetport woudl require an engien rebuild, do you have all other power mods done that are bolt on? depending on the port it can be a very streetable one to a very agressive one. to take advantage of a good streetport you need an aftermarket induction system.

A street port on the N/A will work out just perfectly fine. I don't believe it will create an imbalance with the stock ECU at all. If you'd like, I'd like to bid for the porting work if you don't object to having the 5 housings shipped here and then back. I do that all of the time with many customers. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
