A little bit. Not much. Why would you do this?

You probably won't notice it at all.

you won't notice a huge power drop but your fuel economy will go down. Not sure how much. the trailing ignition system was implemented because of the rotaries elongated combustion chamber and because of the length of the chamber it created an inability to combust the last 15-25 percent of the fuel mixture. this is mainly for emissions control but why would you want to eliminate it? If it isn't broken don't fix it........

This is what KD Rotary calls their "Anti Detonation" Top Secret $500 BULLSHIT device. They back out both trailing plugs and install "buttplugs". What a total crock. People have went out of business for less.

Home Depot has them for a few cents in the nuts and bolts department.

Does eliminating the trailing allow you to run a leaner A/F ratio since more unburnt mixture helps cool the rotors down?

If so that might help in power density, no?

um why would you think less ignition would make more power thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard.

the r26b used 3 plugs per rotor to get more complete combustion. more complete combustion is good for everything, fuel economy, power, emissions, etc.

face it there is no performance or relibility advantage to this.

the only posible advantage is simplicity, and its not like the ignition is THAT complicated as it is....

Just a thought from reading the anti detonation device threads
