Haltech detonation, trailling coil ???

Hi everybody
I'm tuning a FC 13B with a E6X and i'm having some problems with detonation on 4th gear boost pulls.
I try to reduce the base timing but still detonate.
The AFR is fine in the 11:1 range.

How could i tune the trailling coil.
-Street ports
-Apex 3mm seals
-Stock turbo
-Running 14psi
-Frount mount Intercooler
-Stock injectors

I think you have to retard the trailling coil on boost, i did try to put it in the 18 degree but still detonate, anyone want to share some details on trailing coil tuning

Thanks

I'm having the exact same problem at 5200rpms, really bad detonation. Did you ever figure this out?

At first, the trainling coil was inversed between rotor 1 and 2 so at min boost, it was detonating. After finding this problem, i did tune more the car but was hearing some little detonation on boost, i did try to reduce the trailing coil advance to the max Haltech can reatrd ( on boost 20deg. )

Air / Fuel was fine but after little time, front rotor seem to have one seal broke so it will be overhauled this winter.

It's one of my friend car, he did his own race porting, 3mm apex seal, all build by him so don't know if the problem is only tuning,

Leading timing was about 17 degree for 14psi.
Trailing timing was set to abour 15-20deg. on boost
Air / Fuel was in the 11 range

Could it be the porting ?

Same here, I was going to reverse the coils like I did on my friends car but, I recheck the cas gear and reinstalled it and stabbed it with a timing light again. Everything looked ok, nothing changed so we eventually played with timing from the trailing map and the knock went away. My engine 13bre(cosmo) is totally stock and we're having the same problem so I don't think porting was the culprit on your friends car.
